Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by generating the clock signal of a lower frequency than an ordinary clock signal and supplying it to respective circuits when a state for saving the power consumption of a main station is detected. CONSTITUTION:In a telephone terminal 2, at the ordinary time, a power fed from a PBX 1 is taken out by a power control part 23 and is supplied to respective modules. A clock switching control part 30 supplies a high frequency clock signal HCLK to the respective modules as a system clock signal SCLK. At the time of the generation of an emergency in the PBX 1, the power control part 23 detects it according to the inversion of a polarity and transfers to the clock switching control part 30. The clock switching control part 30 supplies the low frequency clock signal LCLK to the respective modules as the system clock signal SCLK. Accordingly, the respective modules operated by the lower frequency clock signal than the ordinary time, the power consumption is reduced. Thereby, when the main station becomes an emergent state, the power consumption of the telephone terminal 2 can be reduced.
