Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the lacking of an original music sound signal and to prevent mal-detection by providing an amplitude modulator and a detector to designate a duplication inhibition depending on the presence/absence of an amplitude-modulated signal. CONSTITUTION:A music sound signal inhibiting the duplication is subjected to a prescribed amplitude modulation in an amplitude modulator 1, and transmitted to a transmission medium 2. In case of reproducing said signal to duplicate it in a duplication medium 5, that the prescribed amplitude modulation is applied is detected by the detector 3, a duplicator 4 is stopped, and thus the duplication is inhibited. Since the duplication inhibition is designated depending on the presence/absence of the amplitude modulation, any lacking of an original music sound signal does not occur. Also, by making the modulation factor sufficiently small, the variation in the amplitude can be made below a level that can be noticed by a human being. By this selecting a modulation signal suitably, a mal-detection can be prevented.
