Abstract

PURPOSE:To save power consumption by stopping supply of power to a signal amplifier section when no signal is received. CONSTITUTION:When the signal reception section 1 receives no signal, since no enable signal is sent, no power is supplied from a power control section 4 to the signal amplifier section 2. On the other hand, when the signal reception section 1 receives a signal, an enable signal is sent from the signal reception section 1 to the power control section 4 via a reception sensing signal line 14. Then the power control section 4 supplies power from the power supply section 3 to the signal amplifier section 2 via power lines 32, 41 in response to the enable signal. Then the signal amplifier section 2 amplifies the signal sent from the signal reception section 1 via a data signal line 12 and sends it to the line 21. When the signal reception section 1 receives no signal, since no power is supplied to the signal amplifier section 2, the power consumption is saved.
