Abstract
PURPOSE:To normally copy an image on an image recording surface without distortion by providing a correction means to electrically correct the magnification distortion in up-and-down direction of an image focused to an image reading means. CONSTITUTION:In case there is a difference in height between an image on the blackboard and the center of a mirror, an image formed by a lens on a surface to be scanned by a line sensor 40 is effected by so-called keystone effect, the image is formed into a trapezoidal shape with its upper part narrowed, therefore, the image which originally is square-shaped is read as a trapezoidal image, and stored in a first frame memory 63. To an arithmetic circuit 64 connected to the memory 63, the correcting circuit 46 to transmit a correction signal to correct keystone effect based on a voltage signal from a potentiometer 45 is connected. The circuit 64, based on said correction signal, operates the image data in order to return the image to its original square shape, i.e. an operation to widen the narrowed part in accordance the correction signal is executed, and the result is transmitted to a second frame memory 65. As a result, a normal image without any distortion can be copied.
