Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the comfortableness of the air conditioner by making a louver the discharge angle of which is regulatable communicate with a lower discharge port provided at the central part of the air conditioner, and providing through a damper a sidewise discharge port which is perpendicular to the louver discharge port and is parallel to the ceiling. CONSTITUTION:For example, at the time of starting space heating, when a difference between a room temperature and a set temperature is large, a damper 20a is set at a position indicated by dotted lines, and temperature regulated air emitted from a heat exchanger 7a is allowed to flow to a lower discharge port as shown by arrow indicated by dotted lines but is not allowed to flow to a sidewise discharge port 19a. Accordingly, temperature regulated air is all discharged in a direction pointed out by a louver 12a from the lower discharge port 18a. When the difference between the room temperature and the set temperature becomes a value less than a predetermined value, the damper 20a assumes a position shown by solid line, and temperature regulated air is discharged in parallel to the ceiling surface 4.
