Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct temperature compensation of each radiation-type level measuring resistant body and simultaneously to conduct gradient compensation, by suspending the radiation-type level measuring resistant bodies in a pair or more and temperature compensating resistant bodies in appropriate numbers inside a liquid accommodating vessel. CONSTITUTION:A terminal voltage V10 of a radiation-type level measuring resistant body 7A and a terminal voltage V30 of a temperature compensating resistant body 9 are inputted to a temperature compensating device 11, while a terminal voltage V20 of a radiation-type level measuring resistant body 7B and the terminal voltage V30 are inputted to a temperature compensating device 13. Output voltages VA and VB of the devices 11 and 13 are functions only for a liquid level WL not depending on an ambient temperature and a liquid temperature, and thereby temperature compensation is executed. These output voltages VA and VB are inputted to an arithmetic unit 19, and the liquid level WL of a fuel tank 1 as subjected to an arithmetic processing and indicated in a level indicator 21. When the fuel tank 1 is inclined, a difference occurs between the respective depths of immersion of the resistant bodies 7A and 7B. Therefore, a correction value DELTAVeG is calculated from a detected voltage difference (VBe-VAe) between them, and thereby a correction output (VBe+DELTAVeG) is obtained.
