Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure a connecting space for outer connecting cables and to enhance mounting density of electronic circuit units in a shelf, by providing cable connectors at the upper and lower parts of a space, which is adjacent to a space for accommodating electronic circuit units, in front of a rear board. CONSTITUTION:A rear board 41 is provided at the rear sides of upper and lower side plates 33 and 34. A gap is provided between rear ends 33a and 34a of the side plates 33 and 34 and the front surface of the board 41. Cable connectors 46 and 47 for connecting outer connecting cables 48 are provided at the upper and lower parts of a region 41a adjacent to an electronic-circuit- unit accommodating space 33 in front of the board 41. Then, the entire region in adjacent to a space 35 in front of the board 41 can be utilized as the mounting space for the connectors 46 and 47. Thus the connecting space for the cables 48 is secured, and the mounting density of the electronic circuit units in the shelf is enhanced.
