Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled heat storage material by mixing sodium acetate trihydrate and sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate in specified proportions followed by heating and melting to enable giving any desired melting point depending on the blend ratio for the both components. CONSTITUTION:The objective heat storage material can be obtained by mixing (A) 20-90wt.% of sodium acetate trihydrate (with a melting point 58 deg.C) and (B) 80-10wt.% of sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate (with a melting point 48.5 deg.C) followed by heating and melting.
