Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce ventilation resistance and increase the amount of air and also improve heat transfer coefficient in exhibiting the leading edge effect in boundary layers by a method wherein in a fin, the rear row with a fin-cut part is formed into a flat part and at the front row a plurality of cut and raised groups which open in the air flow direction are placed. CONSTITUTION:In a fin 11, fin collars 14 are raised up at equal distances and the rear row with a fin-cut part 13 is formed into a flat part 17 and at the front row a plurality of cut and raised groups 15 which open in the direction of air flow B are placed. Heat transfer tubes 16 are inserted into the fin 11 and in the inside of the tubes 16 a refrigerant such as Fron, water, etc. flows and between the fins 11 air supplied by a fan 12 flows. Since the rear row with the fin-cut part 13 is a flat part 17, air resistance at the part far from the fan 12 is reduced and the flow velocity of the air flow B at this part is increased. As a result, the flow velocity distribution in the whole heat exchanger is made uniform and a large increase in the amount of air can be obtained. Thereby, the leading edge effect in boundary layers caused by the groups 15 can be sufficiently exhibited and the heat exchanging amount can be rapidly increased.
