Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain such a rotary machine that does not need a compensating winding and is smaller than an existing one by providing grooves radially from a rotary center of electrodes to the main pole field system. CONSTITUTION:A groove 9 is provided between the main pole field system 5 and 7, and a groove 10 is provided between the main pole field system 6 and 8. The main pole field system 5-8 are linked with the yokes 11 and 12, and the circumference is coated with a non-magnetic case 13. An electrode 1 is housed between the main pole field systems 5-8. When there are grooves 9 and 10, the magnetomotive force applied to a field core of the electrode current is AA1=AA2. And, when there are no grooves 9 and 10, the magnetomotive force applied to a field core of the electrode current is AB1=AB2. Then, when there are no grooves 9 and 10, the increase and the decrease of magnetic flux is to deduct an area enclosed with a, d, e from an area enclosed with a, b, c. And, when there are grooves 9 and 10, the increase and the decrease of magnetic flux is to deduct an area enclosed with a, h, i from an area enclosed with a, f, g, therefore, the decrease of magnetic flux lessens.
