Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable exploration of a PC steel material alone in a concrete simply and accurately being distinguished from other metal material such as reinforcing steel, by applying a magnetic force to the PC steel material to check a magnetic force with a magnetic detector. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 2 is stuck direct on the outer surface of a PC (prestressed concrete) steel wire 1 continuously or at a fixed interval along the length thereof or a magnetic powder 5 is buried to be mixed into a protective sheath 4 covering the PC steel wire 1. In this manner, the PC steel material with the magnet 2 stuck thereon or with the magnetic powder applied thereto is arranged at a specified position together with a reinforcing steel, and then, concrete is cast. When detecting the layout position of the magnetic pieces to avoid the PC steel material in the boring for a concrete hardened matter, nailing, anchoring or the like, a magnetic detector 7 is used to trace on the surface of the concrete 6 cast. Thus, a magnetic force from the magnet 2 in the PC steel wire 1 is detected, thereby enabling the finding of the location at which the PC steel wire is arranged.
