Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect the titled player from external vibration by fixing a playing means to a player housing by a prescribed lock mechanism so as to improve the vibration preventing operation when a support member supporting the playing means is in the non-escaping position. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 87 is driven, lock plates 78, 79 are moved and engaged with lock shaft 68a, 68b to deliver a torque to a mechanical chassis 68 and the torque is delivered to a support member 66 via a viscoelastic member 67. The plates 78, 79 locks the playing means when the member 66 is the non- escaping position with respect to the tray to fix the means to the player housing. In this case, the plates 78, 79 are engaged with shafts 68a, 68b of the chassis 68 being a base of the playing means to lock the playing means. Thus, even if a large shock is exerted to the disk player, the playing means is protected and its vibration-resistance is improved.
