Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent picture quality degradation due to the leaking-in of a luminance signal and a chrominance signal by providing an input terminal to be able to input a separating video signal and causing the chrominance signal, out of the separating video signals supplied from this input terminal, to pass through a tandem filter. CONSTITUTION:Switching circuits 3a and 3b are interlocked, connected to an A side in case a composite video signal input is selected as an input and connected to a B side in case a separating input is selected. When the composite video signal is selected, the composite video signal supplied to an input terminal 1 is separated to a Y signal and a C signal by a tandem filter 4. A C-output of the tandem filter 4 is supplied to a color synchronizing circuit 5 and a color demodulating circuit 6. In the color synchronizing circuit 6, the C signal is converted to two color difference signals, added with the Y signal outputted from the tandem filter 4 in a matrix circuit 7 and converted to an RGB signal. When the separating input is selected, a Cs signal supplied to an input terminal 26 passes through the tandem filter 4 and converted to the two color difference signals by the color demodulating circuit 6. Then, the signal Cs is added with a Ys signal to be supplied to the input terminal 2a in the matrix circuit 7 and converted to the RGB signal.
