Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable identification of a cell easily and accurately with a quick review made possible, by displaying and reviewing a plurality of images of a cell stored in an image memory simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:An image of a cell is inputted with an optoelectric transducer 21 into an image processor 22 and an image memory 29. The device 22 sorts the cell automatically to store the results, the position of the cell on a sample and the like together with the image of the cell corresponding to a memory 23 and the device 29. This operation is repeated until the frequency of the automatic sorting reaches a specified value to end the sorting of one sample. Upon the end of sorting all samples, a sample number to be reviewed is inputted with a data console 28. Moreover, a controller 24 reads the results of automatic sorting and images of cells from the device 29 according to the sample number to display 27 the images of the cells together with the results of automatic sorting. This enables execution of a quick review thereby accomplishing the identification of cells easily and accurately.
