Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the addition or exchange of carbon electrode rods from outside, by pressing a carbon electrode rod toward a feeder and projecting the tip of an operation lever installed on the swing arm halfway or on the case body side out of the case body. CONSTITUTION:A carbon electrode rod 50 is inserted through a guide 15 provided on a case body 10 to bring the tip of the rod 50 into contact with the feeder 21 of a rotary shaft 20. An operation lever 34 is pressed down to separate the feeder 21 of the rotary shaft 20 off from the power feeder 31 of a swing arm 30, and the carbon electrode rod 50 is further pushed appropriately with the operation lever 34 pushed down, thus adjusting the position. After completion of positional adjustment, a hand is released from the operation lever 34, and the carbon electrode rod is held between the feeder 21 of the rotary shaft 20 and the power feeder 31 of the swing arm 30. Accordingly, operation of the lever 34 from outside the case body 10 allows the exchange and the like of the carbon electrode rod 50.
