Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid danger by informing the existence of obstructions such as mountains and a steel tower when they are recognized within the flying sphere of an airplane based on the present position and altitude of the airplane measured by a GPS receiver and the navigation speed and direction of the airplane obtained by the GPS receiver in the same way to a pilot with an alarm sound or a display. CONSTITUTION:Based on the present position (latitude and longitude) and the altitude obtained by the GPS receiver 1 and based on the navigation speed and the direction obtained by this receiver 1, a danger warning sphere (a three-dimensional territory) 7B is obtained by a danger warning sphere computer element 2 and data showing this sphere 7B is inputted to a memory retriever 4. An altitude and map memory 3 stores the data of the obstructions 7C and 7D such as the mountains 7E and the steel tower as the position (the latitude and the longitude) showing the existence of them and the data of the altitude complying with it and the content of it is supplied to a memory retriever 4. The memory retriever 4 retrieves whether the corresponding obstruction in the altitude and map memory 3 exists within the danger warning sphere 7B supplied from the computer element 2 or not and supplies a seizing signal to an alarm 5 when it exists and generates an alarm.
