Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture steel sheets having good adhesion to concrete, or the likes, by forming multirib-like projections in the rolling direction at a second to the last pass and spreading the top width of the projections by pressing down in the final pass. CONSTITUTION:Many V-notch-shaped projections are formed in the rolling direction by a grooved roll at a second to the last stand pass in finishing tandem rolling. Then, only the top of the many rib-like projections formed in the previous pass is pressed down in the final pass to bring a projection top width Wt to be wider than a bottom width Wb. Such projections have large anchoring effect, so that concrete, etc., is prevented from separating when composite materials with concrete, asphalt, etc., are used.
