Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently prevent cold draft relative to the window width at the time of heating by disposing a chamber to which the air outlet of respective indoor units, which are connected to an outdoor unit, is connected, and disposing a chamber air outlet in said chamber along the width of the window. CONSTITUTION:In indoor units 30, 31, the air is taken in from the bottom and passes indoor fans 43, 44 to be turned into cold or hot air by indoor heat exchangers 41, 42, which air is then delivered into a chamber 51 from outlets 45, 46. Where the indoor unit 30 is not situated at the center of a window 26 but is displaced toward the left side, a left grill 47 is made smaller and a right grill 48 larger so that the air blowing rate may be greater to the right so as to evenly distribute and diffuse the blown air across the chamber air outlet 52 to the window 26. The indoor unit 31 does the same. As a result, the air is delivered uniformly over the entire width W of the chamber air outlet 52, and the cold draft from the window and its surroundings can be prevented at the time of heating.
