Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the reproducibility and reliability of measurement and to simplify the measurement itself, by directly converting a pulse wave signal or living body signal to a digital signal by an analogue-digital converter and analyzing the frequency of the digital signal to output said signal. CONSTITUTION:When a finger is inserted between a light emitting element 2 and a photodetector 3, since the blood in the tip of the finger absorbs light (about 600-870Angstrom ), the quantity of the light reaching the photodetector 3 changes by an increase and decrease in a blood amount. The resistance value of the photodetector 3 changes corresponding to the change quantity of light showing the increase and decrease in the blood amount. Only a pulse wave signal is taken out by a detector 7 to be inputted to an A/D converter 5. After the analogue signal is converted to a digital signal, the digital signal is operationally processed by an operator 6. In the operation, harmonic analysis being one of the technological analysis of waveform data is performed using FFT (high speed Fourier transform). By comparing the ratio of each higher harmonic component to a fundamental wave, the judgement of a waveform can be easily performed and a judge result is outputted in a numerical value.
