Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly display the present position, and to prevent a read miss by displaying a measured position by a mark for showing an error range, at the time of displaying the measured position in a graphic of a map or a chart, etc. CONSTITUTION:Positions of each satellite are calculated by reading a pseudo distance data to each satellite and a navigation data, etc. into a CPU 7 from a GPS receiver 5 through an interface 6. Also, from these positions of each satellite and a pseudo distance to each satellite, the position of a receiving station is calculated. Thereafter, based on the navigation data transmitted from the satellite, or by multiplying an estimated distance measurement error by a geometric accuracy deterioration coefficient in the horizontal direction, a measured position error is calculated. Subsequently, a position on a picture plane corresponding to a position of the receiving station is calculated, a distance on the picture plane corresponding to the distance measurement error is derived, and the mark of a circle whose radius is said distance is written in a display memory 13. In such a way, the measured position can be displayed by a mark of a size corresponding to the measured position accuracy.
