Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible both to make a decoration on a surface without seam and to obtain a free cross-sectional shape, by using a seamfree soft sleeve as a sheathing body, and setting integrally therein a reinforcing body having a reinforcing wall, a bottom plate and an edge ring. CONSTITUTION:A soft sleeve 3 on the surface of which a continuous decorative pattern 2 is made is set on the outer circumferential face of a container 1. This sleeve 3 is prepared by extrusion-molding a soft synthetic resin in a tubular shape by means of an extruder, applying thereon an optional decorative pattern 2 and forming the cross-section roughly in an ellipse-shape when an inner reinforcing body 4 is formed. The inner reinforcing body 4 constitutes two rib-like reinforcing wall bodies 5 extending and being brought in tight contact with the inner face of the sleeve 3, a bottom plate 6 integrally formed with the reinforcing wall body 5 at the lower end of the sleeve 3 and an edge ring 7 integrally formed with the reinforcing wall body 5 at the upper end and whose cross-section is of roughly ellipse-shape. To prepare a synthetic resin tubular container, after the sleeve 3 formed in advance is inserted in a tubular projected part of a core mold 23, a split-cavity mold 34 and the core mold are closed and a molten thermoplastic resin is injected inside the sleeve.
