Abstract

PURPOSE:To always obtain a stable output in a prescribed level by providing a first detecting means which detects the output level and a second detecting means which detects the presence or the absence of an input signal and changing the output level from a reference voltage setting means and the frequency characteristic of a two-wave means in accordance with the output from the second detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a video signal having a normal amplitude is inputted, the reference level of a reference voltage setting circuit 3 is fixed to the first level because an input detecting circuit 6 outputs the high level which indicates the presence of the input signal. When disappearance of the input signal is discriminated, the output of the input detecting circuit 6 goes to the low level and the reference level of the reference voltage setting circuit 3 is changed to the second level. Since the output of an AGC amplifier 1 is suppressed by this change, the noise whose amplification is started on the side of an output terminal 202 is reduced. Thereafter, the frequency band of an LPF 5 is changed and fixed to the second frequency characteristic, and the time constant of operation is shorter. Consequently, this circuit is operated to amplify the signal to a steady level with quick response.
