Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the transmission line by sending a packet of a non-voice signal addressed to the same terminal equipment as data in place of a nosound data in a silence part of a voice signal so as to prevent the trans mission of the redundant silence data. CONSTITUTION:An original voice signal being an analog signal is converted into a digital signal and the digital signal is split into data 12 of voice part/non- voice part. The data 12 of the voice part is added with a header 11 and a packet 10 (A.C.G) is generated. On the other hand, the non-voice part data 12 is replaced into packets alpha-delta of optional no voice data addressed to the same terminal as the voice signal to form packets B, D-F. The packets A-G thus formed are sent consecutively in the network. Thus, whether a packet is retarded in the network, missing or non-voice packet is recognized at least at the arrival of the next packet.
