Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently perform document printing work within a short time, by performing the allotment of printing data to a plurality of printers at a page unit and allotting printing data to the printer which has finished printing output to perform printing output from a plurality of printers. CONSTITUTION:When a formed document of a large number of pages is outputted for printing, an increased printer 2 is connected and both of a built-in printer and the increased printer are brought to a printing output possible state and printing output is started. At the start time of printing output, both printers are in an empty state and, therefore, the first page of the document is outputted to the built-in printer P and, subsequently, the second page thereof is outputted to the increased printer 2. The next third page is outputted to the printer which has become empty previously among both printers. For example, when the built-in printer P is a low speed one and the increased printer 2 is a high speed one, the fourth page is also outputted according to circumstances in succession to the third page. Either way, control is performed so that printing output is applied to the printer previously finished and the whole printing output time is drastically shortened.
