Abstract

PURPOSE:To always obtain a desired exposure controlled variable only if photometric data is read out by rearranging the photometric data to addresses in response to the attitude of a camera, and normalizing and storing them. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic means 102 is constituted such that irrespective of attitude information, is can access a memory means 104 in the prescribed address order, read the photometric data and operate appropriate exposure amount. Plural photometric outputs are stored in the memory means 104, however, they are stored at different addresses in response to the attitude information obtained by an attitude detecting means 103. Said outputs are stored in such a way that photometric data on a middle part, a top and a bottom, for example, can be obtained in that order by accessing the memory means 104 in sequential address order whatever the attitude of the camera is. The arithmetic means 102 accesses the memory means 104 in the prescribed address order and irrespective of the attitude information, reads out the photometric data, and hence can operate an appropriate exposure amount.
