Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a battery-driven vehicle from stopping due to the consumption of the remaining capacity of a battery during traveling by altering the destination of the vehicle to a charging position when a battery voltage arrives at a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A separate distance detector 1 detects a distance between the present traveling position of a battery-driven vehicle 1 and a charging position for charging a battery load in the vehicle. A voltage allowable value setter 2 sets a battery voltage allowable value according to separate distance signals. On the other hand, when a battery drop detector 3 detects the fact that the remaining capacity of the battery arrives at a predetermined battery voltage allowable value, the designation is altered to a position instructed by a destination setter 19. Thus, a travel controller 15 outputs a command for the vehicle 11 to travel to the charging position.
