Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate detection, by connecting an angle of rotation detector to a motor shaft and a rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:A fine angle of rotation of an arm 1 is held within one turn at an angle 3a of rotation of a motor 3 and detected as bit output (low order bit) with a fist resolver 9 and a first R/D converter 11 through a reduction gear 2. A rough angle of rotation of the arm 1 is detected directly with a second resolver 10 and a second R/D converter 12 from a rotating shaft 1a to be obtained as bit output (high order bit). Thus, the reduction gear 2 serves concurrently for driving of the arm 1 and detection of an angle of rotation, thereby enabling accurate detection with a simple construction.
