Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a working state by exact and simple means by discriminating the working state of a body to be worked through output signals of an acousto/electric converter arranged far from the body to be worked. CONSTITUTION:The working sound generated from the body 3 to be worked makes electric signal Sa through the acousto/electric converter 4, an amplifier 5. The signals Sa are sampled in gate sampling circuits 7, 8. An adder circuit 11 adds the sample signal Si of the newest period and the signal Sh immediately before it, and a signal equivalent to Sh-Si is given to an error amplifier 12. The amplifier 12 compares the signal from the adder circuit 11 with reference signal and the error signal Se is given to a control circuit 13. By the signals from a polarity discriminating circuit 14 and the error signal Se, the control circuit 13 gives the control signal 13 making the signals Se zero to a driving device 15 and also gives to a display device 16. The driving device 15 drives a convergent lens system 2 and converges laser beam into the optimum working position.
