Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the temperature rise of an amplifier to a small value by arranging plural bass-reflex ports of an amplifier builtin speaker system above and under a cabinet so as to dissipate the heat of the bult-in amplifier to the outside of the cabinet. CONSTITUTION:The bass-reflect ports 4a, 4b are provided above/under the speaker cabinet. The heat from the amplifier 3 is dissipated to the outside of the cabinet by the air flow from the bass-reflex ports 4a, 4b by the bass- reflex operation of the speaker at the operation of the speaker unit 2. Moreover, the heat from the amplifier 3 when no signal is given to the speaker unit 2 while the amplifier 3 is in operation is dissipated effectively from the upper bass-reflex port 4a through the air convection of the ports 4a, 4b provided above/under the cabinet. Thus, the temperature rise of the amplifier 3 is suppressed to a very smaller value than that of a conventional amplifier built-in speaker system.

As shown in the figure, in conventional speaker systems with built-in amplifiers, the amplifier (3) is often placed at the bottom of the speaker system so as not to raise the center of gravity of the speaker system.
The heat generated from 3) tends to be trapped in the upper direction, that is, inside the cabinet, and in order to dissipate this, a bass reflex type speaker system is adopted. Consideration is given to dissipating heat to the outside of the cabinet (1) by entering and exiting.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in such a speaker system with a built-in amplifier, heat can only be dissipated when a signal is applied to the speaker unit, and when there is no signal while the amplifier is powered on. There is a problem in that the heat generated cannot be effectively dissipated.

In the above configuration, heat generated from the amplifier (3) is dissipated to the outside of the cabinet (1) by air flowing in and out from the bass reflex port (4a) (4b) due to the bass reflex operation of the speaker when the speaker unit (2) is operating. can do. Furthermore, when the amplifier (3) is in operation but there is no signal input to the speaker unit 1-(2), the heat generated from the amplifier (3) is absorbed by the bass reflex ports (4a) (4b) provided above and below. ) The heat is effectively radiated from the bass reflex port (4a) on the upper side by air convection. This makes it possible to suppress the temperature rise of the amplifier (3) to a lesser extent than in conventional speaker systems with a built-in amplifier.

In the above example, the bass reflex ports (4a) and (4b) are located on the surface where the speaker unit (2) is attached, that is, on the baffle surface, but the bass reflex port (4a) on the upper side can also be located on the top, rear, or side surface. A similar effect can be obtained, and the bass reflex port (4b) on the lower side may be placed on the side or rear side.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, by arranging a plurality of bass reflex ports of a speaker system with a built-in amplifier at the top and bottom of the cabinet, heat generated by the built-in amplifier can be transmitted to the speaker unit without a signal. It can be effectively dissipated to the outside of the cabinet regardless of the time, and has the effect of suppressing the rise in temperature of the amplifier.
