When observing or treating the inside of a body cavity with an endoscope, it is necessary to bend the angle part of the end using the angle dial on the handle in order to make the observation window or the like face the affected area. The bending operation involves bending the bendable angle portion between the rigid distal end portion having the observation window etc. and the flexible tube portion having a built-in spiral etc. using the angle dial via the operation wire. In this bending operation, it may be bent over a wide range of angles, for example, 180 degrees upward in the axial direction and 90 degrees downward.

問題もある。
In the above-described bending operation, since the maximum bending angle is different in the two directions, up and down, the reaction force of the angle portion is different in both directions, and the force required for the operation becomes non-uniform depending on the bending direction. Further, there are also problems in that the covering of the angle part is wrinkled, which hinders insertion into a body cavity and operation, and that the angle part does not bend well.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned objects, the present invention is characterized in that an elastic tube, which is naturally curved in a specific direction, is tightly coated on the angle portion and curved in a specific direction in advance.

FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view, and in the drawing, the light guide for illumination following the light source 2, 3 an image guide for guiding the image of the object, 4 an angle dial provided on the handle 5, and 6 this light guide. The operating wire that is pulled and operated by the angle dial 4 is shown.

In the endoscope described above, a bendable angle portion 10 between a rigid tip portion 8 having an observation window 7 etc. and a flexible tube portion 9 such as a spiral is bent in a specific direction in advance as shown in FIG. The elastic tubular body 11 is tightly covered. As a result, the angle portion 10
will also be curved.

For example, as shown enlarged in Fig. 3, when the maximum bending angle of the endoscope is 180° upward in the axial direction and 90° downward, the maximum bending angle of the endoscope is approximately 45°, which is the neutral point of the bending angle in the two vertical directions. By closely covering the angle portion 10 with the elastic tubular body 11 bent in the direction, the angle portion 10 is curved in advance, and a predetermined bending operation is facilitated at the time of bending.

According to the above-mentioned endoscope according to the present invention, by closely covering the angle portion with the elastic tube that has been curved in a specific direction in advance, the bending operation can be easily performed, for example, from near the neutral point of the maximum bending angle in the vertical direction. This allows the force required for the bending operation to be made substantially uniform in the vertical direction.

Further, the angle portion is prevented from being excessively wrinkled, and the angle portion can be bent easily, which is a significant effect.
