Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a speech path between a radio equipment and a terminal equipment by driving a switching means based on an on-hook (a) signal from an automobile telephone set, an incoming signal from a radio equipment or an off-hook signal from a terminal equipment by means of a control means. CONSTITUTION:A control means 22 drives a switching means based on various control signals such as an incoming signal from a radio equipment 1, an on-hook signal from an automobile telephone set 2 or an on-hook signal from a terminal equipment. Thus, the radio equipment is connected to a calling circuit 15 and a channel is formed between the radio equipment 1 and the terminal equipment. Moreover, the control signal such as the incoming signal given from the radio equipment 1 to the terminal equipment or the control signal such as an off-hook signal or selection signal given from the terminal equipment to the radio equipment 1 is converted respectively into a control signal suited to an opposite party by a signal conversion means and transmitted to the opposite side as an effective control signal.

As shown in FIG. 2, the car telephone equipment is composed of a wireless device 1 and a car phone 2, and as long as the wireless device 1 is within a predetermined area, it is possible to form a wireless communication path with a telephone office. Through this wireless device 1, it is possible to make a call between the car phone m2 and a telephone connected to a general public line or another car phone.

By the way, the wireless communication path formed between the wireless device 1 and the telephone office consists of two channels, a transmission channel and a reception channel.
It consists of two channels. Accordingly, the wired communication path between the wireless device 1 and the car telephone 2 is also a four-wire communication path in which a transmission communication path and a reception communication path exist separately. Therefore, facsimile machines and modems for personal computers used on general public telephone lines, which are two-wire lines, are not connected to car telephones.
It is not possible to connect directly to the wireless device 1 instead.

In response, development is progressing on facsimile devices exclusively for car phones that can be directly connected to wireless devices, but they are significantly more expensive than popular facsimile devices for general public telephone lines. This is not practical. Furthermore, regarding other data terminal devices, the current situation is that little progress has been made in the development of devices applicable to car telephones.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. First, the incoming call processing operation will be explained. An incoming signal from the control signal terminal of the wireless device 1 is input from the terminal group 10 and sent to the car telephone 2 and the CPU 22 via the signal line 13. CPU22
Incoming call determination processing is performed within the terminal, and only when a predetermined condition is satisfied, the calling signal generation circuit 18 is driven to execute calling processing to the terminal device. Here, the predetermined conditions are: (a) There is an incoming call signal (BL out-of-range display signal is not present) (C) The car phone 2 is in an on-footer state (d)

The calling process for the terminal device is as follows: after energizing the amplifier circuit 20 by turning on relay ry4, waiting for 3 seconds, driving transmitter 19, sending a signal for 1 second by turning relay ry2 on and off, and pausing for 2 seconds. This is done through repetition.

In detecting off-hook of a terminal device, it is a condition that (a) to (C) of the above-mentioned incoming call determination conditions are also satisfied at the same time. Therefore, for example, if an off-footer is performed on the car phone 2 while transmitting a call signal, the call process is immediately stopped and the mobile phone returns to the standby state.

Then, the movable contact is switched from the car phone 2 side to the communication circuit 15 side, and the movable contact in relay ry3 is switched from the car phone 2 side to the CPU 22 side, thereby completing the connection between the wireless device 1 and the terminal device.

During a call, the hook status of the terminal device is constantly monitored, and if there is an on-footer on the terminal device, the on-footer signal is taken from the call circuit 15 to the CPU 22 and sent to the CPU 22.
Then, relays ryl and ry4 are respectively turned off and returned to the standby state. Further, the CPU 22 simultaneously monitors and applies an out-of-range indication signal from the wireless device 1, and also switches to a standby state when the out-of-range indication signal is input.

In addition, control signals such as incoming call signals given from the wireless device to the terminal device, or control signals such as off-footer signals and selection signals given from the terminal device to the wireless device, are converted by the signal conversion means into control signals suitable for the other party. . Therefore, the terminal device for the -i public telephone line can be easily used as a terminal device for a car telephone, which is extremely convenient. This means that the range of use of car phones will be expanded dramatically, and will greatly contribute to the spread of car phones.
