Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （発明の背景） ［発明の属する技術分野］ 本発明は、通信切換、システムに関する。特に、電話加
入者が、その電話機が接続されている地球局とは異なる
地球局に接続されている電話機で通話をする際に、電話
加入者に対して個別の特殊機能を供給するためのシステ
ムに関する。
［従来技術の説明］ 現在、短縮ダイアル、待ち受は通話、グループ電話等の
電話の利便性を向上させる広範な機能が利用可能となっ
ている。従来のシステムにおいては、加入者ごとの特殊
機能を規定するデータは、その加入者の電話機が接続さ
れている電話交換機内のその加入者の電話機に対応する
特殊機能データブロックに記録されている。地球局の電
話交換機は、加入者の電話機から発せられた、もしくは
、その加入者の電話機に対する通話に対して、どの特殊
機能を供給するかを決定する際にそのデータブロックを
検索する。従来のシステムの問題点は、個別の加入者に
対する特殊電話機能が当該加入者自身の電話機が接続さ
れている交換機に直接接続された電話機においてのみ利
用可能で例えば当該加入者が公衆電話もしくはホテルの
一室等の当該加入者自身の電話機から離れたところで、
他の電話交換機に接続された電話機から電話をかける場
合には、それらの機能は利用できないという点である。
既に公表された技術の中にはオフィス内通信システムに
おけるサービス転送機能のランクづけを提唱しているも
のがある。
（発明の概要） 従来技術の問題点は、加入者の個別認識に基づいて個別
の特殊機能を供給するという本発明の原理によって解決
され、この分野において進歩する。
本発明によれば、加入者の個別の特殊通信機能を規定す
るデータが、当該加入者が加入者回線を通じて接続され
ている地域交換機に一時的にストアされる。本発明のあ
る具体例においては、個別特殊機能データは、例えばク
レジットカードの番号のような加入者の個別の認識番号
とともに地域交換機とは隔ったところにあるデータベー
スにストアされる。加入者の個別の認識番号を受信する
とデータベースが検索され、検索された個別の特殊機能
データが当該個別認識各号を受信した加入者回線を設定
している交換機に受は渡される。個別特殊機能データは
、のぞむらくは、国内型るところからでもアクセス可能
なデータベースにストアされるべきで、その場合には加
入者は他の市においても自らの特殊機能を利用できる。
本発明のある具体例においては、特殊機能データは短縮
ダイアルリストを包含している。このことにより、加入
者は遠隔地においても短縮ダイアルを利用することが可
能となる。
ある具体例においては、当該加入者は電話交換機に対し
て持続時間を規定するデータを与え、それがその規定さ
れた時間だけ当該回線が接続されている交換機に対して
特殊機能データを保持させる。このことにより、オフィ
スの電話を一時的に当該電話機が接続されている地域局
から離れたところに設定することができ、選択通話のよ
うな外部からかかってくる電話に対する特殊機能を一時
的に設定した電話に対して適用することが可能となる。
他の具体例においては、個別の特殊機能データは、例え
ばカード読取機によって読まれうるクレジットカードの
ようなものによって、当該加入者によって持ち運びされ
る。クレジットカードからのデータは加入者回線を通し
て地域交換機へ伝送され、そのデータが受信された加入
者回線と関連づけて一時的にストアされる。この具体例
においては、好ましいことに特別の特殊機能データを備
えておくためのデータベースは必要でない。
（実施例の説明） 第１図は、複数個の地域交換機１１０がトラフィク・サ
ービス・ポジション・システム（ＴＳＰＳ）１２０を通
じて共用データベースシステム１４０に接続されている
、というある具体例を示したものである。
それぞれの地域交換機には複数個の電話機、例えば標準
的な加入者用電話機１１２が接続されている。第１図に
はカード読取機と一体となった電話機１１４も示されて
いる。これは、例えば空港等で見うけられるようなカー
ド読取機一体型公衆電話で、現実に人手可能なものであ
る。現実的な装置においては、カード読取機はクレジッ
トカードを読み取ってクレジットカードから地域交換機
へデータを伝送するために用いられる。地域交換機はそ
れぞれ加入者電話（例えば１１２）と関連させて特殊機
能データをストアしておくためのアクセス可能なローカ
ルメモリ　１１１を有する内部プロセッサ１１３によっ
て制御される。地域交換機内のクロック回路１１Ｂは、
加入者からある特定期間サービスを持続するように要求
された場合に時間を規定するために用いられる信号を供
給する。おのおのの地域交換機は従来通り中継線１１５
によってＴＳＰＳ中継回路１３０に接続されている。Ｔ
ＳＰＳ中継回路１３０は中継線＋１７によって一般に料
金算定局と呼ばれる内部交換キャリアスイッチに接続さ
れていてもよい。トラフィック・サービス・ポジション
・システム（ＴＳＰＳ）１２０は、この具体例において
は、共用データベースシステム１４０をアクセスするた
めに用いられる切換えシステムである。種々のデータベ
ースシステムが知られており、本発明に対しては、地域
交換機から共用データベースへのアクセスが可能なシス
テムであれば、どのようなものでも利用可能である。
地域交換機はそれに接続された電話機１１２．１１４及
びＴＳＰＳ間の回線を既知の方法によって設定する。Ｔ
ＳＰＳシステムの一つの機能はデータベースシステム１
４０のアクセスをすることである。
例えば、地域交換機１１０に接続された電話機１１２．
１１４のうち一つの電話機からクレジットカード電話を
かけようとする場合、そのクレジットカード番号が有効
であるかを確認するという目的で、データベースがアク
セスされる。データベース　［４０はＴＳＰＳを通じて
多数の地域交換機からアクセス可能である。現実には、
多数の地域交換機１１０が単一のＴＳＰＳ１２０に接続
されており、多数のＴＳＰＳが共通チャネルオフィス間
信号通信（ＣＣＩＳ）もしくはそれと同等な全国的ネッ
トワークを通じて単一のデータベースシステム１４０を
アクセスする。
第１図に示された具体例においては、データベース１４
０は加入者が加入した特殊機能サービスに関する情報を
保持している。遠隔地から特殊機能を利用するためには
、加入者は地域交換機に機能コード及び認識番号を与え
、地域交換機にＴＳＰＳ１２０を通じてデータベース１
４０を検索させ、当該加入者に対する特殊機能を規定し
ているデータを捜し出し、ローカルメモリ　ｉｌｌにス
トアさせる。
この具体例では、データベースのデータ形式には、クレ
ジットカード番号の池に、短縮ダイアル番号を規定する
データとともに当該クレジットカードを持つ加入者が利
用することができる特殊機能を規定するための領域が含
まれている。短縮ダイアルとは、加入者がダイアルした
２桁もしくは３桁の番号を地域交換機が判断して１０桁
の電話番号に復元して回線を設定するシステムである。
上述したようなデータ形式例が第２図に示されている。
データベースには当該加入者の必要とする長距離局番も
含まれ、当該加入者が遠隔地で長距離電話をかける際に
用いられる。第２図は、データベースにストアされるデ
ータの種類を規定しているデータ領域名とその内容とを
示している。データベースにストアされているのと同一
のデータは、クレジットカードのような個別のカードの
磁性体上にもストアされうる。そのようなカードはいわ
ゆるカード読取機一体型電話機によって読み取られ、既
知の方法によって地域交換機に転送されて地域交換機の
メモリにストアされる。第２図に示されている有効特殊
機能設定領域は２進数で表現されていて、この具体例に
おいては８ビツト、すなわち１バイトよりなる。第３図
に示されているように、有効特殊機能設定領域の第１ビ
ツトは加入者が特殊機能を遠隔地において利用する契約
を締結しているか否かを表わしている。この具体例にお
いては第２〜ｍ８ビツトは当該加入者が契約している特
殊機能を表わしている。これらの特殊機能を利用できる
、すなわち利用契約をしていることは、有効特殊機能設
定バイトの対応するビット位置が１であるか０であるか
によって示される。第３図に示された特殊機能のうち、
臨時移動オフィス機能を除いたものは電話加入者が利用
可能な標準的なサービスである。臨時移動オフィス機能
は、あらかじめ設定された期間当該加入者が利用可能な
他の全ての特殊機能を一時的にある電話機において利用
可能とするものである。
本具体例においては、遠隔地での特殊機能の利用は、地
域交換機１１０ＳＴ　Ｓ　Ｐ　Ｓ　　１２０及びデータ
ベースシステム１４０を含むいくつかの装置が機能する
ことによって可能となる。システムは、種々の機能を実
行するプロセッサを有しており、それはプログラムによ
って制御される。第４図から第６図は、遠隔地での特殊
機能の利用を可能ならしめるために、地域交換機内のプ
ロセッサ１１３によって実行されるべきプログラムを、
フローチャートの形で示している。
第４図において、ブロック４０１はオフ・フック（送受
話機をフックスイッチからはずした状態）の検出を示し
、ブロック４０３は発振音の送出及びに番号受信器の接
続という通常の地域交換機によって実行される機能を示
している。決定ブロック４０５において、受信した番号
について、それがここでは＊ＴＦもしくは＊ＣＣで表わ
されている、特殊な文字列を含んでいるか否か判断され
る。ここで、＊ＴＦは遠隔地での特殊機能利用に対する
要求を意味し、＊ＣＣはクレジットカードからの特殊機
能データ人力に対する要求を意味している。
もしくは、音声認識ユニット（図示されていない）を組
み込んで、加入者側の音声によるサービス要求を認識さ
せるようにしてもよい。＊ＴＦがダイアルされると、当
該加入者が当該電話機に対して個別の特殊電話機機能が
利用可能になることを欲していることを意味すると解釈
される。＊ＴＦというコードが検出されると、地域交換
機１１０は当該電話機からＴＳＰＳ１２０への回線を設
定し、ＴＳＰＳにしてクレジットカード番号を受信する
準備を促す。このことは、ブロック４０７に示されてい
る。ＴＳＰＳは設定された回線を通じて、当該加入者に
対してクレジットカード番号もしくは他の個別認識番号
の入力を促すか、もしくは当該加入者が番号をダイアル
するのを待ち受ける。個別の認識番号をダイアルするか
わりに、一般的なカード読取機一体型電話機によって番
号を入力することもできる。ＴＳＰＳはクレジットカー
ド番号をデータベースシステム１４０へ伝送する。この
ことは、ＴＳＰＳの一般的な機能であり、本発明の理解
のためにここで詳細に記述する必要はない。
データベースシステム１４０は１４桁のクレジットカー
ド番号をＴＳＰＳから受信すると、その番号に対応する
データベース内のデータ項目をアドレスし、関係するデ
ータブロックを検索する。データブロックの内容につい
ては、その概要が第２及び第３図に示されている。第２
図に示されているように、当該データブロックの第１項
目はカード番号よりなり、適切なデータがアクセスされ
ているということを確認するために用いられる。カード
番号が無効であったりサービスが認められていない場合
には、拒絶メツセージが当該地域交換機に対して送出さ
れる。ＴＳＰＳ及びデータベースシステムによるデータ
検索及びその確認という機能は、一般的なもので、拒絶
メツセージの送出とともにクレジットカード電話を取り
扱うシステムにおいて実行される。サービスが認められ
ている場合には、一般にデータベースシステムはＴＳＰ
Ｓに対して許可メツセージを送出し、許可メツセージと
料金計算ＩＤを当該地域交換機へ伝送することによって
利用料金の計算を開始する。本発明に従うシステムにお
いては、データベースシステムは、検索されたデータブ
ロックをＴＳＰＳに伝送し、次いでＴＳＰＳが、クレジ
ットカード番号のような料金計算ＩＤとともに、当該デ
ータブロックを地域交換機へ伝送する。当該地域交換機
がデータブロックと料金計算ＩＤもしくは拒絶メツセー
ジを待ちうける、ということがブロック４０９に示され
ている。拒絶メツセージを受信した場合はブロック４１
０に示されているように通話が終了する。それ以外の場
合には、ブロック４１１へ進み、受信データ内の遠隔地
での特殊機能の利用の可否を表わすビットが調べられ、
当該加入者が特殊機能の遠隔地利用を契約しているか否
かが決定される。利用契約がなされていない場合には、
一般的な手法によって通常の通話処理が開始される。ブ
ロック４０５において＊ＣＣという文字列を検出した場
合には、ブロック４０２に進んでカード読取機一体型電
話機から伝送されていくカードを受信し、第２及び第３
図に示されているように利用可能な特殊機能が当該カー
ドで当該データカードによって決定される。そののち、
ブロック４０４に示されているようにカード番号等の料
金計算ＩＤが利用料金算定用にＴＳＰＳへ伝送される。
続いてブロック４１１へ進んで受信データ内の遠隔地で
の特殊機能の利用の可否を表わすビットが調べられる。
当該加入者が遠隔地での特殊機能の利、用契約を結んで
いる場合には、通常、当該回線と関連づけて特殊機能デ
ータブロック内に一時メモリアドレスが登録され、有効
特殊機能設定領域の残りのビットによって規定される特
殊機能データが短縮ダイアルリストとともに当該一時メ
モリアドレスによって規定されるメモリ領域にストアさ
れる。上記の機能はブロック４１３に示されている。次
に、第５図のブロック４１５において、有効特殊機能設
定領域の第６ビツトである臨時移動オフィスビットが設
定されているか否かが判断される。当該ビットが設定さ
れていない場合には、当該加入者あて特殊機能が利用可
能となった旨のメツセージが送出され、下記ブロック４
２５から４３１に記述されるような手順で当該通話が処
理される。ブロック４１５において有効特殊機能設定領
域の臨時移動オフィスビット（第６ビツト）が設定され
ていると判断された場合には、ブロック４０９において
ＴＳＰＳより受信した料金計算ＩＤがブロック４１３で
設定された一次メモリ領域にストアされる。次いて、当
該加入者あてアクセスコード及び時間間隔コードをダイ
アルすることによって臨時移動オフィス機能が利用可能
になる旨のメツセージが送出される（ブロック４１９）
。このメツセージは音声によるものもしくは一般的な発
振音によるもののいずれでもよい。当該地域交換機は、
アクセスコード及び時間間隔コードを受信すると、当該
システムの現在時間に受信した時間間隔の値を加算し、
計算結果をここにおいて終了時刻項目と呼称する、メモ
リ内の領域にストアする。地域交換機は一般的なシステ
ム現在時間発生用クロック　ｔｔｅを有している。ブロ
ック４２３では、当該加入者あて臨時移動オフィス機能
が利用可能になった旨のメツセージの送出がなされる。
ブロック４２５では、特殊機能が利用可になった後、臨
時移動オフィス機能が利用される場合及びされない場合
とも、当該加入者は通話設定情報、すなわち回線を設定
したい相手の番号を入力するよう促される。その後、オ
ン・フックが検出もしくは＃がダイアルされるまで、標
桑的なりレジットカード料金引落しを含む通常の通話が
行なわれる。＃がダイアルされた場合には、ブロック４
２５から４２９が繰り返され、当該加入者は、全ての一
連の手順を踏まずに他の相手に対する通話をすることが
できる。ブロック４２７においてオン・フックが検出さ
れると、ブロック４３０へ進んで臨時移動オフィス機能
が設定されているか否かが判断される。臨時移動オフィ
ス機能が設定されている場合には、ブロック４３１で通
常の通話の終了がなされる。設定されていない場合には
、通話の終了がなされる前にブロック４３３において当
該一時アドレスが消去される。このことによって、次に
続く通話において個別の特殊機能はブロック４０１から
はじまる全ての手順を踏まなければ利用不能となる。
第４図に戻って、ブロック４０５において＊ＴＦもしく
は＊ＣＣという文字列がダイアルされたかどうかが判断
される。＊ＴＦもしくは＊ＣＣがダイアルされた場合に
は、上述した一連の手続きが実行される。＊ＴＦおよび
＊ＣＣがダイアルされなかった場合には、第６図のブロ
ック４４０に示されているように地域交換機内の当該回
線と関連した特殊機能データブロックが読み出され、ブ
ロック４４１において一時アドレスが特殊機能チータブ
ロック内に存在しているか否かが判断される。一時アド
レスが存在していない場合には、ブロック４４３に示さ
れているように、特殊機能利用の可否を調べることなし
に、通常の通話が設定される。
一時アドレスが見出された場合には、特殊機能利用が以
前になされていたことを示していると見なされる。続い
て、当該加入者によって、設定され、ブロック４１２で
記録された時間間隔が満了したか否かが判断される。ブ
ロック４４２で終了時刻項目の示している時刻が現在時
刻より小さいもしくは等しいかが判断され、そうでない
場合にはブロック４４５に示されているように料金計算
ＩＤが一時メモリ領域から検索され、ＴＳＰＳへ伝送さ
れ、次に続く通話の料金算定に用いられる。その後、当
該加入者に対して第５図のブロック４２５に示されてい
るように、相手方の電話各号を入力するよう促し、ブロ
ック４２５に続く一連の手続が実行される。プロ・ジク
４４２において終了時刻の値が現在時刻より大きくない
場合には、特殊機能データブロックからブロック　４４
４に示すように一次アドレスが消去され、ブロック４４
３において通常の通話設定がなされる。
以上述べたことは、本発明に従う適用例を簡単に説明し
たに過ぎない。幾多の他の応用例がここに示した本発明
の精神及びその範鴫を離れずに導出されうる。
それ故、そのような変更、修正は本発明に含まれること
を主張する。

Claims (8)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）データベースをアクセスできる通信システムにお
    いて、電話加入者に対して個別の特殊電話機能を供給す
    るための個別電話加入者用特殊機能供給方法において、 ａ、電話加入者から個別の認識番号を受信するステップ
    、 ｂ、データベースから個別の認識番号に対する特殊機能
    データを検索するステップ、そして ｃ、データベースから検索された特殊機能データによっ
    て規定される個別の特殊機能サービスを電話加入者に対
    して供給するステップ、 とからなることを特徴とする個別電話加入者用特殊機能
    供給方法。
  2. （２）検索されたデータをメモリにストアし、それに引
    き続いて、電話加入者からのサービス要求に応じてメモ
    リにストアされたデータを調べ、前記メモリにストアさ
    れたデータによって規定される特殊機能サービスを電話
    加入者に供給するステップ更に有することを特徴とする
    特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の個別電話加入者用特殊機
    能供給方法。
  3. （３）時間間隔を規定するデータを受信するステップ及
    び前記時間間隔の満了後に受信されたサービス要求に応
    じてストアされたデータに対応するサービスの供給を抑
    止するステップを含むことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲
    第２項記載の個別電話加入者用特殊機能供給方法。
  4. （４）前記検索されたデータが短縮ダイアルリストから
    なり、電話加入者からの短縮ダイアルコードを規定する
    信号に応じて短縮ダイアルリストに規定された登録番号
    への回線を設定するステップからなることを特徴とする
    特許請求の範囲第１項記載の個別電話加入者用特殊機能
    供給方法。
  5. （５）電話機相互の接続手段と； 認識番号に対する特殊機能を規定するデータをストアし
    ているデータベースにアクセスし、電話機から伝送され
    てくる電話加入者認識番号を含む信号に応じてデータベ
    ースから加入者認識番号に対する特殊機能データを検索
    し、検索された特殊機能データによって規定される電話
    サービスを当該電話機に対して供給するための制御手段
    ； とからなる個別電話加入者用特殊機能供給装置。
  6. （６）検索された特殊機能データをストアしておくため
    のメモリを有し、前期制御手段がメモリにストアされた
    特殊機能データによって規定される電話サービスをサー
    ビス要求に対して供給することを特徴とする特許請求の
    範囲第５項記載の個別電話加入者用特殊機能供給装置。
  7. （７）前記制御手段が、電話機から受信した時間間隔を
    規定する信号に応じて、その時間間隔を規定する信号に
    よって規定される期間内のみメモリにストアされた特殊
    機能データによって規定される電話サービスを供給する
    ことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第６項記載の個別電話
    加入者用特殊機能供給装置。
  8. （８）前記制御手段が、電話機からの短縮ダイアルコー
    ドに応じて検索されたデータに規定された登録番号への
    回線を設定することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第６項
    記載の個別電話加入者用特殊機能供給装置。
