Abstract

PURPOSE:To send an automatic answering signal to an originating side by checking the contents of incoming, and automatically operating the titled system to send a carrier signal to a data terminal when said signal exists, or connecting a telephone set to send ringing tone when said signal is absent. CONSTITUTION:When incoming from the exchange side through a subscriber's line is obtained, a lingua detecting circuit 22 detects the incoming to drive a control circuit 16. A switch 23 is closed by the circuit 25 to keep off-hook status and a switch 12 is closed to a connect a voice answer sending circuit to the subsriber's line and send a voice answering signal. The off-hook status cancels a lingua signal. A high impedance circuit 19 is always connected to the subscriber's line and a voltage on the subscriber's line is extracted, digitized by an ADC circuit 14 and outputted to a carrier detecting circuit 15 to check whether a carrier component is detected or not. When the carrier component is detected, the access of a data terminal 4 is identified, and at the no detection of the carrier component, the access of the telephone set 5 is identified.

The above problem is caused by the ringer detection circuit 22 operating when a call is received from a caller via the railway line, closing the switch 24 to automatically answer the caller, and closing the switch 12 to automatically answer the caller. The response signal sending circuit 23 is connected to the subscriber line to perform a voice response, and the carrier detection circuit 15 checks whether there is a carrier signal on the subscriber line to determine whether it is the telephone (5) that is being called. It automatically identifies whether it is a data terminal (4), and if it identifies it as a telephone (5), the control circuit 16 closes the switch 26, connects the telephone (5) to the subscriber line, and then connects the ringing tone sending circuit 17. to call the telephone (5),
If it is identified as a data terminal (4), the control circuit 16 switches the switch 11 to connect the data terminal (4) to the subscriber line and sends a paging signal to the data terminal (4). .

According to the present invention, when an incoming call is received, the ringer detection circuit 22 detects the incoming call, extracts the voltage applied to the subscriber line through the high impedance dice circuit 19, converts it from analog to digital, and then detects the carrier. The circuit 15 checks whether there is a carrier signal on the subscriber line, and if there is a carrier signal, it connects to the data terminal 4 via the modem 3 and sends a paging signal to the data terminal 4. If there is no such device, the telephone 5 is automatically connected to the telephone 5 and a ringing tone is output.

[Scope of Claims] In an NCU connected to a data terminal (4) and a telephone (5) via a modem (3), means for automatically answering a call from a calling party via a line; means for identifying whether a signal from the calling side is a ringing signal for the telephone (5) or a ringing signal for the data terminal (4); means for transmitting a ring tone to the telephone (5);
3) means for sending a calling signal to the relay data terminal (4), and when a call is received from the caller side via the line, the automatic response means sends a response signal via the line to the caller side. Then, the identification means identifies whether the incoming call from the calling party is a ringing signal of the telephone (5) or a ringing signal of the data terminal (4), and the ringing signal of the telephone (5) is determined. When it is identified that the data terminal (4) is a calling signal, the ringing sound sending means sends out a ringing sound, and when it is identified that it is a calling signal of the data terminal (4), the calling signal sending means sends out a calling signal.
