Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect a public utility type radiotelephone set without using a coin by decoding the information on a credit card, sending part or all of the information to an exchange station to confirm the correctness and charging the credit card. CONSTITUTION:The user of an automobile telephone set MSS 21 hooks on, loads the credit card to a card reader CR 10, to read card information. The user confirms that the card information is decoded correctly by using an audible signal from a handset HS 13 or the like and dials to call an opposite subscriber SUB 26 and depresses a send key, then the outgoing connection is started. The information of the credit card decoded by the reader CR 10 is checked, the required part is transferred to a transmission/reception section TRU 15, the expanded format of an incoming data channel is used to transfer the information to an automobile telephone exchange station MTSO 23 via a radio base station MBS 22.
