[Prior Art] In recent years, facsimile systems for transmitting images have become popular, but either use a general subscriber telephone line or a dedicated line, and a third party other than the subscriber can freely transmit images. cannot be sent. For this reason, for example, if a sales person outside the company wants to report a sales slip consisting of product name code number, unit price, number of units sold, sales amount, etc. to the company, he or she should report over a public telephone or return to the office. Two methods are used: raising the slip later.

The public telephone with a built-in facsimile machine of the present invention has been developed in view of the above-mentioned problems. After inserting a coin, making a dial call, and calling the called party, the public telephone with a built-in facsimile machine is connected to the telephone circuit by operating a switching controller. Periodic billing from the telephone line in a public telephone with a built-in facsimile that switches the connected public telephone line to the facsimile transmitting device and transmits an image from the facsimile transmitting device to the called party for an amount equivalent to the call time of the inserted coin. The apparatus is equipped with a control means for forcibly cutting off image transmission when a signal arrives and there are no coins to be stored, and for causing the paper feed mechanism to continue its operation until the document is completely ejected from the ejection port.

Next, the basic structure and operation of the public telephone with a built-in facsimile according to the present invention will be explained using the block diagram shown in FIG. In the same figure, 12
In this case, movable contact a is connected to public telephone line 13 (hereinafter, line 1
3) and fixed contacts b, c
are respectively connected to the telephone circuit 14 and the facsimile transmission device 15 (hereinafter referred to as FAX 15), and are switching controllers that switch the line 13 from the telephone circuit 14 side to the FAX 15 by operating the FAX switch 7. Furthermore, this switching controller 12 has a polarized relay (not shown), which detects a coin storage signal (polarity switching pulse) sent from the station and sends a signal to the coin control unit 16. In addition, the conversion controller 12
sends a switching signal to the coin control unit 16 when the movable contact a is switched and connected to the fixed contact c.

The FAX switch 7 is automatically restored by hooking on the handset 5, and the switching controller 12
Connect the movable contact a to the fixed contact b side. The telephone circuit 14 is a known public telephone circuit excluding a polarized relay for storing coins, and the dotted line section TG indicates a reminder sound generating circuit. 17 is coin slot 1,
The coin mechanism section 17 is a coin mechanism section that sorts, stores, stores, and returns the coins inserted by the coin control section 17, and the coins accumulated in the coin mechanism section 17 are sequentially stored in response to a signal from the coin control section 16. In addition, the coin control section 16 normally operates the coin mechanism section 17 in the same way as the coin control section of a general public telephone, but it is connected to the line 13.
If FAX15 is connected, that is, FAX SW7
When the movable contact a and the fixed contact c of the conversion controller 12 are connected and a switching signal is output by the operation of The coin mechanism section 17 is operated.

At the same time that the last inserted and accumulated coin is stored, the coin control section 16 detects this and sends out a reminder sound signal. At this time, line 13 is connected to telephone circuit 14.
If the line 13 is connected to the FAX 15 side, the reminder tone generating circuit TG is activated and a reminder tone is sent to the caller via the handset. However, when the line 13 is connected to the FAX 15 side, the notification unit 18 is activated to prevent the caller from receiving a call. In other words, the sender handler is notified. Note that the notification unit 18 may be any device such as a buzzer or a lamp as long as it notifies the sender-side handler that there are no accumulated coins.
Further, the buzzer 10 described above may also be used. After being notified by the notification section 18 that there are no accumulated coins, if a new coin is not inserted, the call loop is forcibly disconnected by the conversion controller 12 and the line is opened at the same time as the arrival of the next coin storage signal. .

By the way, the power of the FAX 15 is turned on by operating the FAX SW7, and the power is automatically turned off when the FAX SW7 is restored. However, in the case of forced disconnection of the line during transmission as mentioned above, the power system of the motor for sending the document must be turned off. It is designed to turn off when the document has been ejected, so the document does not get stuck inside the fax 15. Although a power source is not shown in FIG. 2, it is assumed that a commercial power source is used in the device.

Next, the operating procedure and operation of the public telephone with a built-in facsimile shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 will be explained using the flowchart shown in FIG. 3. First, a user who wants to send a document turns on the handset 5, and then presses the coin slot 1 and the coin slot 1 like a normal public telephone.
Insert a coin into 2 and make a dial call. Thereafter, the called party answers, starts a conversation, and sends a message to the effect that ``I am about to send a document.I would like you to set up your facsimile receiver.'' At this time, if the called party has set up an unattended facsimile receiver, they can prepare to receive the fax by listening to the fax tone from the facsimile receiver that automatically answered.
Know that it's OK. After the above-mentioned communication is completed or the fax tone is confirmed, operate the FAX switch 7 to turn on the power to the FAX 15 and switch the movable contact a of the conversion controller 12 from the fixed contact B side to the fixed contact C side, and connect the FAX 15 to the line. 13 to complete preparations on the sending side. At this time, the coin mechanism section 17 operates according to the command from the coin control section 16.
Contains specific charges for use of fax machines.

Next, when the caller, that is, the sender handler inserts the original to be transmitted into the original insertion slot 8, the FAX 15 detects this, starts the motor, performs automatic paper feeding, and establishes phase synchronization. Then, when it is confirmed that the phases are aligned, an image, that is, a facsimile signal, is transmitted, and as the transmission progresses, the documents are sequentially sent out from the ejection port 9.

During image transmission, coins are sequentially stored in response to coin storage signals that arrive from the station at predetermined time interval pulses, and if there are no more coins to be inserted, the notification unit 18 will notify you that no additional coins need to be inserted. The transmission line is forcibly cut off by the conversion controller 12, and image transmission is interrupted. In this case, in order to return the inserted original, even if the image transmission is forcibly cut off, the paper feed mechanism does not stop immediately and continues to operate for a predetermined period of time until the original is completely ejected from the ejection port 9. .

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention, and the same parts as those in FIG. 2 are given the same reference numerals and the explanation thereof will be omitted. The difference from the embodiment shown in FIG.
8 is replaced by an amplifier AMP and a speaker SP which amplifies the output of the slight consonant generating circuit TG and emits the sound, and a display part 19 is provided to display the remaining amount of coins inserted. In this way, the reminder sound generation circuit
TG can also be used during facsimile communication,
There is no need to provide the notification section 18. In addition, the display section 19
By providing this, it is possible to know the remaining amount of coins inserted, and together with the emission of a reminder sound from the speaker SP, it is possible to reliably prevent interruption of image transmission.
