用いる電子式情報カードの入出力端子群の配置に
関するものである。

つたが、近年ICメモリを内蔵する電子式情報カ

来の実用化が期待されている。従来のICカード
はPROM等のICメモリ、さらにはCPUをプラス
チツク等のカードに内蔵しており、そのコントロ
ールのために必要なすべての入出力端子一式をカ
ードの表側又は裏側だけに配置し、外部端末機と
の情報のやりとりを行なうよう構成されている。
しかしこの種の情報カードの寸法は小さく、薄型
であるため、入出力端子を配するスペースも小さ
いので、特に端子数を増加させたい場合に端子配
置スペースが不足しがちである。また一般のユー
ザーがカードを表裏をまちがつて外部端末に挿入
すると作動しないという欠点もある。さらにカー
ドの入出力端子部分はカード面に露出しているた
め、よごれもしくはチリ、粉等による接触不良等
が起りやすく信頼性の面で大きな問題として提起
されている。その対策としてカード使用前に接点
部を洗浄する方法とか提案されているが、外部端
末装置が複雑かつ大型化となりコスト的にも不利
である。

体2bの表側入出力端子部、2cは裏側入出力端
子部、3はカードに内蔵されたICメモリ、4は
ICメモリ3と入出力端子部2b並びに2cを接
続する導体である。ICメモリ3の内容は、外部
端末機と表側入出力端子部2b又は裏側入出力端
子部2cのうち少なくともいずれか一方と接続す
ることにより導体4を介してコントロールでき
る。このような構成となつているのでカード本体
1bの小さな表面が従来の2倍のスペースとな
り、入出力端子群を多数配置することが可能とな
る。また前記第3図において入出力端子部2b,
2cを表裏対称の位置に配し、まつたく同一の端
子構成とし、かつ対応する各端子をOR回路構成
とすることにより、カード本体1bを外部端末機
に挿入する際、表裏の指定をせずに使用すること
も可能となる。第4図は本考案の他の実施例であ
つて、2dは入出力端子部、3はICメモリ、4
は導体であり、入出力端子部2dはカードの表側
と裏側の両方の表面に露出するよう構成したもの
であり、この場合入出力端子部2dの一方の表面
がよごれて接触不良となつた際に他方の表面を利
用できるものである。第5図は本考案のもうひと
つの実施例であつて、3aはICメモリ、2eは
ICメモリ3aのための入出力端子部、3bは前
記ICメモリ3aとは別のICメモリ、4はICメモ
リ3bのための入出力端子部であり、表側の入出
力端子部と裏側の入出力端子部とは互いに独立し
ており、それぞれは第1図で説明したカードとし
ての機能を持つているものである。この場合に
は、従来2枚のカードを要した働きを1枚のカー
ドに保有させることができ、入出力端子部を表と
裏に独立して配することによつて用途に応じた使
用区分が一目でできるので複合カードに適したも
のとなる。
