DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a dental monitoring device that electrically displays a patient's pain and intention during dental treatment.

(従来技術) 歯の治療中、患者は口をきくことができない。(Conventional technology) Patients cannot speak during dental treatment.

Therefore, conventionally, the degree of patient pain caused by treatment has been known through the experience of doctors. Doctors judged the degree of pain based on the condition of the affected area, treatment procedures, and the patient's facial expressions.

(Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) However, even for experienced doctors, it has been difficult to fully know the degree of patient pain. For example, if you interrupt treatment because the patient is grunting, it may be because saliva has become stuck in the patient's throat. Also, there are some people who endure and put up with it even if they are in severe pain.

Because it is difficult to fully understand the patient's pain,
Conventionally, there have been problems such as patients often discontinuing treatment even though they are not in much pain, or conversely continuing treatment even though they are in severe pain.

本発明は、上記の事情に鑑みなされたものである。The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances.

Referring to FIG. 1, the dental monitoring device according to the present embodiment includes detection means IA to ID and a display device 2. As shown in FIG. Each of the detection means IA to ID detects changes in the patient's body during dental treatment and converts the changes into electrical signals. The display device 2 receives signals from each of the detection means IA to ID and visually displays changes in the patient's body based on the signals.

Each of the detection means IA to ID has a different detection target. IA is a sensing means for measuring blood pressure. Blood pressure can be measured simply by pinching one's fingers, so it is preferable to employ such a simple measuring means. IB is a detection means for detecting heartbeat. Since it is possible to measure the heartbeat at the same time when measuring the blood pressure with a finger, it is preferable to measure the heartbeat at the same time as the blood pressure measurement. IC is a sensing means that measures the electrical resistance of the skin. Since it is possible to measure the electrical resistance of the skin at the same time as the blood pressure measurement, it is preferable to do so.These detection means IA to IC may be attached to predetermined positions on the patient's body. , may be provided together with the grip 3, which will be described later. ID is a detection means for measuring grip strength. As shown in FIG. 2, this detection means ID includes a pressure sensitive element 4 fixed to a grip 3. The patient is holding the grip 3, and when the patient feels pain due to the treatment and grips his/her hand tightly, this is converted into an electrical signal by the action of the pressure sensitive element 4.

Further, regarding the detection means for measuring the grip strength, the doctor and the patient may consult in advance prior to treatment, and decide in what cases the patient should grip the patient strongly.

It is desirable that these detection means IA to ID be provided at appropriate positions on the patient's chair (not shown) so that the work of attaching them to the patient's body is simple. , heartbeat, electrical resistance of the skin, and hand grip strength were adopted as detection targets. The reason is as follows.

Blood pressure and heart rate tend to increase due to pain, tension, patience, fear, etc. The electrical resistance of the skin similarly changes due to pain, tension, patience, fear, etc.
