(Prior art) In a PC, by repeatedly executing a user program,
v The new logic of the control output signal group is determined in accordance with the logic changes and history of the controller output signal group. The shorter the repetition period of the user program execution process, the higher the responsiveness between control input and output signals, and the better control can be performed. In addition to executing user programs, it also connects to peripheral devices such as programming consoles, printers, and displays, and performs service processing such as processing given commands and exchanging data. It also performs system monitoring processes such as resetting the watchdog timer and checking memory and buses. Furthermore, depending on the model, there are some that exchange data with other PCs. As shown in FIG. 3, a general PC is configured to repeat user program execution processing, service processing, and other processing in order at high speed. The total one-time processing time (Tl+T2+73) is called 1 time. The execution cycle of the user program, which determines control responsiveness, is determined by this scan time. Therefore, the time R11T2 of service processing and the time T3 of other processing
By shortening , the gap time will be shortened and control responsiveness will be improved. Based on this design concept, in the past, the allocated time T2 for service processing was set to the minimum necessary and fixed at a constant value. In service processing, a certain set of tasks is divided into multiple executions. When the allocated time (service time) for a service process is short, the number of executions required to complete a certain task increases. This means, for example, that it takes a long time from when a programming console requests data from a PC until the data is displayed on the console's display. In other words, the responsiveness of the man-machine interface is not very good. This means that more emphasis is placed on the responsiveness of control, which is the main function of the PC, than on this responsiveness. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The control responsiveness of the PC is high and good. Generally speaking, this is true. However, not all users use devices that require high-speed response. Depending on the object to be controlled, the responsiveness of the PC does not matter much. When using a conventional PC in this way,
The aforementioned man-machine interface is noticeably slow to respond, which causes user dissatisfaction. This invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and its purpose is to control illumination according to the actual usage situation.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a PC that allows the user to use the PC appropriately, such as emphasizing responsiveness or emphasizing the responsiveness of a man-machine interface through service processing. (Means for Solving the Problems) Therefore, in the present invention, the timer data that defines the execution time of one time of the above-mentioned service processing can be set arbitrarily and variably. (Embodiment) FIG. 1 shows the overall configuration of a PC according to an embodiment of the present invention. This PC has a CPU (arithmetic control unit) 1
, a system program memory 2, a user program memory 3, a data memory 4, an input circuit 5, an output circuit 6, and interface circuits 7 and 8. A large number of control input signal groups are connected to the input circuit 5. The output circuit 6 has a large number of control signal relays, to which a device to be controlled is connected. The control input signal group applied to the input circuit 5 is once taken into the data memory 4 and subjected to calculation, and the control output signal group generated in the data memory 4 by the calculation is outputted from the output circuit 6 to the outside. CPU
1 repeatedly executes a user program stored in the memory 3 to determine new logic of the control output signal group in accordance with logic changes and history of the control input/output signal group. The above-mentioned operation is the execution process of the user program in step 101 in the coachyard 71 in FIG. Interface circuits 7 and 8 are programming consoles 9. Around 10 printers! 1 device is connected. C
PLll is the f of communication with these peripheral devices.
f, II control, processing of given commands, and transfer of requested internal data. This is the service process, which is step 103 in FIG. Further, processing such as system monitoring is shown in step 104 as other processing. Before the user program execution process is executed for -1 cycle and service processing is started, in step 102, the timer 11 shown in FIG. 1 is activated. If the timer 11 times up while executing the service process, the process is interrupted and the process proceeds to step 104 for other processes. Thereafter, the process returns to step 101 and the above process is repeated. As is clear from the above description, the time for one execution of service processing (service time) is defined by the timer 11. In the PC of this invention, the setting time of the timer 11 (
(timer data) can be set arbitrarily at the neep level. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, a setting device 12 such as a digital switch is provided, and the above-mentioned timer data can be varied according to the setting contents of the setting device 12. That is, in the initial processing shown in FIG. 2, the CPU 1 reads the contents of the setter 12 and sets the timer data of the timer 11 according to the contents. Specifically, the standard value of the timer data is fixed and the setter 12 is used to specify by what percentage the timer data should be increased or decreased. As another embodiment, a method may be adopted in which the increase/decrease in the timer data is processed by commands from the programming console 9. It is also possible to increase or decrease timer data using a user program. In other words, it is sufficient to define a user command for increasing or decreasing timer data, set the execution conditions for the command on the user program, and change the timer data to a specified value when the condition is satisfied. (Effects of the Invention) As explained in detail above, in the PC of the present invention, the allocated time for service processing can be variably set at the 1-the-level, so it can be used in a way that does not require very high control responsiveness. If you do so, we will increase the service time accordingly,
It is a highly flexible PC that can improve the responsiveness of the man-machine interface.
