(Embodiment 2) This embodiment is shown in FIG. 2, and two printing means 5, 5 are provided on the upper and lower surfaces of one measuring tape 2, facing each other. The other configurations are the same as in the first embodiment. In this way, it is not only possible to print both sides of one measuring tape 2 at the same time, but also to print two types of printing patterns with different pitches (for example, 1-inch unit display and logarithmic scale display) on both sides at the same time. .

FIG. 3 shows an apparatus for manufacturing a tape measure according to the first and second embodiments described above, in which a CCD camera 10 and a light source 11 for the CCD camera are added. A CCD camera 10 and a light source 11 for the CCD camera are respectively disposed at upper and lower positions of one measuring tape 2 in between. In this way, even if the tape measure tapes 2 to be printed have different widths, continuous printing can be performed on the same line while measuring the tape width with the CCD camera 10. Furthermore, even if the measuring tape 2 meanders as shown in FIG. 4, the CCD camera 10 detects the meandering of the measuring tape 2, and the control means 8 controls the printing means 5 to Scales and the like can be printed at accurate positions on the printing surface of the tape 2.
