The present invention relates to an electron firing apparatus for cathode ray tubes used for exhaust treatment inside a tube during the manufacturing process of cathode ray tubes. In the manufacture of cathode ray tubes, as shown in FIG. 1, after each process and each component are installed and arranged inside the tube body 1, exhaust air is discharged through the tip-off tube 2 provided at the end of the neck portion 1n. Then, the tip-off tube 2 is hermetically sealed, ie, chipped off, with the inside of the tube under high vacuum to obtain a finished tube. In this case, after the exhaust is sealed, gas and foreign matter are released from the tube itself, various components placed inside the tube, and phosphors, etc., reducing the degree of vacuum inside the tube and shortening the service life of the cathode ray tube. During this evacuation process, the cathode ray tube is heated in a heating furnace with temperature programming as shown in Figure 2 to prevent the production of defective products. A method is adopted in which unnecessary gases and foreign substances are actively released from each part and these are removed from the pipe. At the same time, a high-frequency coil 4 for passing a high-frequency current is wound around the neck portion 1n in which the electron gun 3 is housed, thereby causing an induced current in each cylindrical electrode constituting the electron gun 3. So-called induction heating is performed to generate and heat these, and so-called electron gun firing is performed to effectively release gas from these electrodes. In the figure,
The electron gun 3 is composed of three cathode electrodes K and first to fifth grids G1 to G5 . This electron gun firing is normally carried out for about 180 to 240 seconds .
Since heating is performed at G 3 to about 800° C. to 850° C., the high frequency coil 4 is also heated to a high temperature by the radiant heat from this and the heat from the heating furnace described above.
Normally, this high frequency coil 4 is composed of a wound body of copper wire covered with a glass tube, but if a coil 4 having such a structure is used, the above-mentioned burnout due to heat will occur, and the winding of the coil 4 will be damaged. Poor insulation occurs between the parts, reducing the efficiency of high-frequency induction and thus quality, which reduces reliability. Therefore, as shown in the cross section of FIG. 3, this high-frequency coil 4 has a structure in which a pipe-shaped copper wire 6 having a hollow 5 is coated with a glass tube 7. A method has been adopted to avoid burnout of the coil 4 by passing cooling water toward the end, but providing a cooling means such as using cooling water in this way requires that the equipment related to this device becomes significantly larger. , and its handling is also complicated. The present invention provides an electron firing apparatus for cathode ray tubes that does not have these drawbacks and makes it possible to obtain highly reliable cathode ray tubes. That is, in the present invention, the manufacturing process of cathode ray tubes is

[Table] As a result, coil 1 of the above-mentioned device
4, the length of the coil 14 in the axial direction can be reduced by about 7 mm compared to the conventional one, while obtaining the same output as the conventional one. Along with this, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, the conductive layer 16 applied to the inner surface of the cathode ray tube 1 is elastically contacted, and the high voltage electrodes of the electron gun 3 (for example, grids G 5 and G 3 ), a coil 14 is provided at the tip of the electron gun 3 and extends to the outer periphery of the spring 17.
This also has the advantage of avoiding unnecessary induction heating of the spring 17 and deterioration of its characteristics. As mentioned above, the proposed device uses a high-frequency coil with excellent insulation properties without using cooling water, and the various drawbacks mentioned at the beginning can be completely eliminated, so it can be put to practical use and brings great benefits. Can be done.
