Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the light receiving device thereby to enable accurate control of the luminance of the light source, by providing a water- cooled light receiving device for detecting the light signal for controlling quantity of light closer to the light source. CONSTITUTION:Cooling piping 23 is fitted to a lamp house 22 including a light source 21 of a high pressure mercury lamp 20. One or a plurality of light receiving devices 24 are disposed between a correcting lens and the light source 21 but in the positions not interfering with the light beams from the light source for baking a shadow mask pattern on a glass panel. Since the light receiving device 24 receives the light emitted by the mercury lamp 20 through a spectral filter 27 and a diaphragm 28 and since the light receiving device 24 is cooled by means of water cooling piping 26, the same is free from damage due to heat and can bear long use. And, further, since the light receiving device 24 is disposed toward the correcting lens, it detects the light beams that are actually used for exposure, and therefore, accurate control of the luminance of the light source 21 can be made possible.

Generally, the following method is used to form a black matrix screen for a color picture tube. After applying photosensitive adhesive to the inner surface of the glass panel, the shadow mask opening pattern is exposed to light through a shadow mask, and after development, a light absorbing material is applied, and after drying, the photosensitive resin film is cured by exposure to a release agent. By simultaneously removing the light-absorbing material, a plaque matrix screen is obtained.

The uniformity of this black matrix screen, that is, the size of the black matrix holes or stripes on which the shadow mask aperture pattern is printed, is a key factor in determining color unevenness and white uniformity of the color picture tube. Therefore, the size of the black matrix hole or stripe is
It is always necessary to form it to a predetermined size. This size is determined by the amount of exposure during light editing relative to the sensitivity of the photosensitive resin film.

Conventionally, such internal exposure has been performed using an exposure apparatus as shown in FIG. That is, it consists of a light source 20 fixed at a predetermined position, a filter 11 that adjusts the amount of light emitted from the light source section 10, and a correction lens 12 that makes the previous light ray approximate the trajectory of the electron beam. °

However, the photodetector was only sensitive to a portion of the light source. Q: It was not possible to detect the illuminance of the light source used for actual printing, making it inconvenient to obtain the desired dots or stripes. - Since the blade photodetector is installed next to the light source, it is strongly exposed to thermal radiation and ultraviolet rays, causing the C1 temperature to rise, causing fluctuations in the detection signal and deteriorating the photodetector. It was difficult to control.
