Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 「技術分野」 本発明は、内視鏡の先端湾曲部を手許操作部で湾曲操作
するための湾曲操作装置に関する。
「従来技術およびその問題点」 内視鏡の湾曲操作装置は、基本的には、先端湾曲部に連
結した一対または二対の操作ワイヤを手許操作部に導き
、この対となった操作ワイヤの一部引き、他方を繰り出
すことにより湾曲部を所望の方向に湾曲させるものであ
る。この操作ワイヤの駆動装置は大別してプーリに操作
ワイヤを巻き付け、該プーリを操作レバーで回転させる
ことにより操作ワイヤを駆動するタイプと、ラックピニ
オン機構により操作ワイヤを駆動するタイプに分けられ
る。前者は、構造は比較的単純であるが、ブーりの単位
回転角当りの操作ワイヤ移動量を大きくするためには、
プーリ径を大きくする必要があり、このため操作部が大
型化してしまう。さらに操作ワイヤをブーりに巻付ける
ため、ワイヤは曲げ、直線の繰り返しによる疲労、プー
リとの遼擦が加わり、切断等耐久性に問題が生じる。他
方ラックピニオン機構を用いたものは、一対の操作ワイ
ヤに連なる一対のラックを単一のピこオンに噛み合わせ
、このピニオンを回転させることによって操作ワイヤを
駆動するものであるが、ビニオンを直接操作レバーで駆
動すると、プーリタイプと同様に、単位回転角当りの操
作ワイヤ移動量を大きくするためには、ピニオンを大径
にせざるを得す、さらにピニオンの外側にラックが位置
するために、プーリタイプ以上に、操作部が大型化する
。またピこオンとラックとの間に、中間歯車を介在させ
て増速するものも考えられるが、この機構では中間歯車
によりピニオンの回動方向とラックの移動方向が、逆に
なり、このため操作ワイヤを操作部と先端湾曲部との間
で交差させねばならない。操作ワイヤを交差させると、
ワイヤに無理な力が加わるため、疲労、摩耗が生じ易く
なり、ワイヤの切断事故等、耐久性に問題が生じる。
［発明の目的Ｊ 本発明は、これら従来の内視鏡の湾曲操作装置の問題点
を解消し、小型でありながら、操作レバーの回転角に対
する操作ワイヤの移動量が大きくとれ、しかも操作ワイ
ヤを交差させる必要のない装置を提供することを目的と
する。また本発明装錐は、操作レバーの回転角に対する
操作ワイヤの移動量を簡単に調節できる装置を得ること
を目的とする。
「発明の概要」 本発明の内視鏡の湾曲操作装置は、操作部に回動可能に
支持した操作レバー軸に内歯車−を一体に設け、一対の
操作ワイヤにそれぞれ連結したラックに同時に噛み合う
第一ビニオンと一体に、上記内歯車に噛み合う第二ビニ
オンを設けたことを特徴としている。この構成によると
、操作レバーと、ラックに噛み合う第一ビニオンとの間
に中間歯車が介在しているにも拘わらず、操作レバーの
回動方向とラックの移動方向とに逆転が生ぜず、したが
って操作ワイヤを交差させる必要がない。
そして中間歯車の歯数の設定によって、操作レバーの回
転角に対する操作ワイヤの移動量を比較的自由に設定す
ることができ、操作部の小型化を図ることができる。
「発明の実施例」 以下図示実施例について本発明を説明する。第６図、第
７図は本発明による湾曲操作装置を内蔵した内視鏡の全
体図で、操作部１１には、操作レバー１２、ストップレ
バー１３および接眼部１４が設けられ、さらに吸引操作
弁１５、ライトガイドケーブル１６、鉗子ｒ：Ｊ１７等
、内視鏡の周知の要素が設けられている。操作レバー１
２は、略り字状をしていて、第６図で親指が当っている
部分は、指当てＡがついて操作部１１のＦ部に伸びてい
る。
操作部１１には、柔軟な体内挿入部２ｏの後端部が接続
され、この体内挿入部２ｏの先端部にはさらに湾曲部２
１が接続されている。湾曲部２１は、周知のように、関
節要素を多数ピン結合してなるもので、第６図の上下に
鎖線で示す操作ワイヤ２２．２３の先端が接続され、こ
の操作ワイヤ２２．２３を操作レバー１２を介して引き
、あるいは繰り出すことにより、湾曲部２１が、同図に
鎖線で示すように、上下あるいは左右に湾曲する。体内
挿入部２０および湾曲部２１内には、先端が湾曲部２１
先端の対物レンズに臨み、後端が上記接眼部１４に臨む
像観察用光学繊維束、先端が同様に湾曲部２１先端の照
明窓に臨み、後端がライトガイドケーブル１６に導かれ
た照明用光学繊維束、および鉗子口部１７から挿入した
鉗子を湾曲部２１先端から突出させる鉗子チャンネル等
が挿入されているが、これらの要素、の図示は省略する
。
操作部１１のケーシング２５内には、第１図、第３図に
示すような親板２６が固定されており、この親板２６に
、ギヤケース２７が固定されている。このギヤケース２
７は、インナケース２７ａ、アウタケース２７ｂ、およ
びビニオン支持プレート２７ｃから構成されており、ビ
ニオン支持プレート２７Ｃに形成した回動中心軸２８に
、操作レバー軸２９が回動自在に嵌まっている。操作レ
バー軸２９は、ギヤケース２７およびギヤカバー３０か
らケーシング２５の外部に突出していて、その突出端に
、第５図に示すように径方向溝２９ａが形成されており
、この径方向溝２９ａに、シマリパメとした上記操作レ
バー１２を嵌合させた後、これを固定ビス３１で固定し
ている。
シマリパメの凹凸の関係は、操作レバー軸２９と操作し
八−１２とで逆にしてもよい。このようにシマリパメと
すると、操作レバー１２を正逆に切り変えながら強い力
で回しても、操作レバー１２と操作レバー軸２９が緩む
ことがない。この操作レバー１２と操作レバー軸２９の
接合部周囲は、ざらに飾りカバー１８ａ、１８ｂで覆わ
れている（第１図）。
この操作レバー軸２９には、そのギヤケース２７内部に
、内歯車３３が一体に形成されており、この内歯車３３
は、その背面の円板部３３ａを介し、ピニオン支持プレ
ート２７ｃとアウタケース２７ｂとの間に抜は止めされ
て支持されている。
また、ピニオン支持プレート２７Ｃとインナケース２７
ａとの間には、一体にした第一ピニオン３４と第二ピニ
オン３５が回動自在に支持されており、第二ピニオン３
５が内歯車３３と噛み合っている。
第一ピニオン３４には、その中心に関する対称位置に、
第２図、第３図に明らかなように、ラックパー３６．３
７に形成したラック３６ａ、３７ａが噛み合っており、
このラックパー３６．３７の軸孔３６ｂ、３７ｂに、操
作力伝達パー３８．３９が遊嵌している。この操作力伝
達バー３８．３９の後端には、抜は止めブロック４ｏ、
４１が固着されており、またこの操作力伝達／＜−３８
゜３９の先端部は、上記操作ワイヤ２２．２３の後端部
に接続されている。ラックパー３６．３７には、ラック
３６ａ、３７ａの反対側に直進ガイド溝３６ｃ、３７ｃ
が形成されており、この直進ガイド溝３６ｃ、３７ｃに
、ギヤケース２７に固定したガイドビン４２．４３が嵌
まってラック／ヘー３６．３７の移動方向をその長子方
向にガイドしている。
以上の構成から、操作レバー１２を介して操作レバー軸
２９を回動させると、一体に内歯車３３が回動し、内歯
車３３の回転が第二ピニオン３５および第一ピニオン３
４に伝達される。その結果Ｍ−ピニオン３４に噛み合っ
ているラックパー３６．３７が前後動して操作力伝達バ
ー３８．３９を介し、操作ワイヤ２２．２３が引かれ、
または繰り出されて、湾曲部２１が湾曲する。この湾曲
操作の際、引かれる側のラックパー３６または３７は、
抜は止めブロック４０．４１を介してともに操作力伝達
バ−３８，３９を移動させるが、繰り出される側のラッ
クパー３６または３７は、軸孔−３６ｂと３７ｂが操作
力伝達バー３８．３９と遊嵌しているために、この伝達
パー３８．３９と一体に移動することはなく、いわゆる
弛緩作用が得られる。つまり操作ワイヤ２２．２３に無
理に戻そうとする力を加えることを防止して、該ワイヤ
２２．２３の変形を防ぎ、これの疲労や切断を防止する
ことができる。またこの実施例によると、操作レバー軸
２９より第一ピニオン３４が前に位置しているため、ラ
ックパー３６．３７の後方への移動空間を確保し易い。
このため操作レバー軸２９から接眼部１４迄の距離１（
第６図参照）を小さくして操作部１１を小型化すること
ができる。
次に操作し八−１２の回動範囲規制手段について説明す
る。ギヤケース２７のアウタケース２７ｂには、周方向
に長い貫通孔４５とこの貫通孔４５両側の段付孔４６が
形成されており、内歯車３３背面の円板ｍ　３３　ａに
は、この貫通孔４５を貫通するストッパビン４７が植設
されている。両側の段付孔４６には、第４図に示すよう
に、それぞれ円弧状で貫通孔４５側の一端をストッパ面
４８ａ、４８ａとしたストッパプレート４８．４８が周
方向に移動０■能に嵌まっており、このスト−／パブレ
ート４８．４８の中央部には円弧状の位置調整孔４８ｂ
、４８ｂが穿設されている。この位置調整孔４８ｂ、４
８ｂには、固定ねじ４９．４９が挿入されて、アウタケ
ース２７ｂに螺合しており、この固定ねじ４９．４９を
緩めることによりストッパプレート４８．４８を段付孔
４６内で自由に移動させることができる。すなわち操作
し八−１２を回動させると、操作レバー軸２９、円板部
３３ａを介してストッパピン４７が回動し、このストッ
パピン４７は、スト−／パブレート４８．４８のストッ
パ面４８ａ、４８ａによって回動範囲を規制される。し
たがって、このストッパプレート４８．４８の位置を調
節してストッパ面４８ａ、４８ａの位置を設定すること
により、操作し／＜−１２の回動角、つまり湾曲部２１
の最大湾曲量を規制することができる。なおこのス）　
＝／バブレート４８．４８の位置調節は、ギヤカバ−３
０を外した状態で行なう。
（・　また操作レバー１２を回動させて湾曲部２１を湾
曲させた後、その湾曲状態を保持するためには、操作レ
バー１２の回動を防ぐブレーキ手段が必要である。この
ブレーキ手段は、本発明では、内歯車３３の回動を規制
することによって行なうようにしている。すなわち、ギ
ヤケース２７の７ウクケース２７ｂには、操作レバー軸
２９と偏心した位置に、ねじ環５０が固定されており、
こりねじ環５０にブレーキ軸５１がねじＳで螺合してい
る。ブレーキ軸５１のド端には、コルク、合成樹脂板等
からなるブレーキパッド５２が一体に設けられており、
このブレーキパッド５２が内歯車３３の円板部３３ａと
対向している。ブレーキ軸５１の外端は、ギヤカバー３
０から突出していて、その突出端にストップレバー１３
が固定されている。したがってこのストップレバー１３
を介してブレーキ軸５１を回動させると、ねじＳに従い
、ブレーキパッド５２が内歯車３３の円ｉ部３３ａに対
して接離し、強く接触すると、内歯車３３の回動が規制
され、そのときの湾曲部２１の湾曲状態が保持される。
このストッパプレート数は、第６図に明らかなように、
操作レバー軸２９の斜め前部上方に位置しているため、
通常左手で操作する内視鏡の操作性を優れたものとする
ことができる０例えばストップレバ−１３の回動範囲中
、第６図を方をブレーキ状態、上方をブレーキ解除状態
と設定すると、同図に示すように、左手で操作部１１を
握り、その親指で操作レバー１２を操作して湾曲部２１
を湾曲操作することができ、適当な湾曲状態となったと
き、人差指でストップレバー１３を下方に押し下げると
、親指を操作レバー１２より離しても、そのときの湾曲
状態を保持することができる。またこの湾曲保持状態を
解除したいときは、親指でストップレバー１３を押し上
げると、保持状態が解除されるため、接眼部１４から目
を離すことなく、操作レバー１２とストップレバー１３
を容易に操作することができる。なおスト・ンプレパー
１３についても、不必要に強い力でブレーキパッド５２
を内歯車３３の円板部３３ａに押し付けることがないよ
う、またブレーキ軸５１がねじ環５０から脱落すること
のないように、回動範囲規制部材を設けるが、この回動
範囲規制部材は、操作レバー１２の回動範囲規制手段と
同様に位置調節可能とする他、例えば、ギヤカバー３０
に固定的に突設したス）−／パ５４（第６図）を用いる
ことができる。
なお水内視鏡は、検査後全体を消毒液中に浸漬して洗浄
できるように、水密構造を採用している。第１図中の符
号Ｏは、水密を図るため、各構成部材間に挿入した０リ
ングを示す。
「発明の効果」 以上のように本発明は、操作部に回動可能に支持した操
作レバー軸に内歯車を一体に設け、操作ワイヤに連結し
たラックに噛み合う第一ピニオンと一体に、上記内歯車
に噛み合う第二ピニオンを設けたものであるから、内歯
車、第一ピニオン、および第二ピニオンの歯数の設定に
よって、操作レバー軸の回動角に対するラックの移動量
を自由に設定することができる。また多種類に渡る内視
鏡について、基本構造は同一としたまま、これら歯車部
材の変更だけで、対処することが可能となり、したがっ
て共通部品の数が増えるため、部品の共通化を通じてコ
ストの低減に寄与し得る。また内歯車の中心と、第一、
第二ピニオンの中心とは必ず偏心するが、この偏心量は
第二ピニオンを外歯満車に噛み合わせる場合に比して僅
かであるため、操作部の大型化を招くことがなく、しか
もこの偏心により、内歯車中心に対しＭ−１第二ビニオ
ンを体内挿入部側にずらせることができるので、第一、
第二ピニオン後方のラック変位空間を容易に確保して、
操作レバー軸から接眼部迄の距離を小さくしたバランス
のよい操作部を得ることができる。さらに内歯車を用い
たことにより、操作レバー軸と一体に設けたビニオンを
直接一対のラックと噛み合わせる場合と全≦同様に、操
作レバーの回動方向とラックの移動方向を設定すること
ができる。このため操作ワイヤを交差させる必要がない
ため、交差に起因して操作ワイヤが余計に屈曲すること
による該ワイヤの疲労、疲労による切断等の事故が生じ
にくい。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）体内挿入部の先端に設けた湾曲部に少なくとも一
    対の操作ワイヤを接続し、この一対の操作ワイヤを操作
    部に設けた操作レバーを介して引き−１または繰り出す
    ことにより湾曲部を湾曲させるようにした内視鏡の湾曲
    操作装置において、上記操作部に回動可能に支持した操
    作レバーの軸に内歯車を７体に設け、上記一対の操作ワ
    イヤにそれぞれ連結した一対のラックを第一ピニオンに
    それぞれ噛み合わせ、この第一ピニオンと一体に、上記
    内歯車に噛み合う第二ピニオンを設けたことを特徴とす
    る内視鏡の湾曲操作装置。
