Abstract

PURPOSE:To work ornamentaly the metallic surface of a spectacle frame, etc. by embedding and integrating a resin for ornamental use into the metallic part. CONSTITUTION:A recess 3 is formed to the surface of the metallic part 2 of the spectacle frame, etc. and after the inside of the recess 3 is roughened, the epoxy resin is packed thinly therein, by which an underlying layer 4 is formed. The acrylic or urethane resin or UV resin is packed on the layer 4 to form a surface layer 5, thus forming two layers of the resin layers 6 consisting of the surface layer 5 and the underlying layer 4. The resin layers are vacuum defoamed and dried at approximately <=40 deg.C. The resin layers 6 are thereafter polymerized and cured at about 50-120 deg.C, then the surfaces of the layers 6 and the metallic part 2 are finished approximately flush with each other by polishing. An optional character or figure is integrally embedded and formed of the resin layers 6 into the surface of the metallic part 2 of a work 1.

[! The frame part of brocade has an important function not only for fixing the lens, but also as a fashion point, and for this reason, it has a variety of innovative designs.
1. With frames made of umbrellas, the scope for varying colors is limited, so the means of decoration that can be applied to frames is limited to changing the shape of flowers, and plastic frames are now being colored in various colors. By using a plastic material made of plastic, it is possible to add fashion to the frame, but in the case of a colored frame, the color of the entire frame can be instantly changed. It has not been possible to keep up with demand.

In view of this drawback, a recess is formed on the surface of the metal part of the eyeglass frame, etc., and the inner part of the recess is roughened and filled with a thin layer of epoxy resin to form a base layer. A surface layer is formed by filling an acrylic resin, a urethane resin, or a UV resin on the base layer, and the surface layer and the base layer form two resin layers, and the temperature is approximately 40°C or lower. After that, the resin layer is polymerized and cured at a temperature of approximately 50°C to 120°C, and the surfaces of the resin layer and the metal part are polished flush, and the metal part is polished as desired. In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, an embodiment of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. To explain, 1 is a workpiece such as an eyeglass frame, and a recess 3 is formed on the surface of a metal part 2 of the workpiece 1 by appropriate means such as cutting or stamping, corresponding to the part where resin is to be embedded. Furthermore, the inner surface of the recess 3 is roughened by applying a blast treatment or the like to improve physical bonding with the resin.

Next, a thin layer of softened epoxy resin is filled into the roughened recess 3 as a base layer 4 that is directly bonded to the metal part 2, and a softened acrylic or urethane resin is placed on the base layer 4. Two resin layers 6 are formed by filling the surface layer 5 with resin, UV resin, or the like.

After the defoaming process is completed, the workpiece 1 is dried and polymerized and hardened at a temperature of about 50°C to 120'C for a predetermined period of time. After that, the excess resin protruding from the surface of the metal part 2 is cut off. As shown in FIG. 2, the surface of the metal part 2 and the surface of the resin layer 6 are made flush with each other, and the surface of the metal part 2 is made to be polished by puff finishing or the like. Form 3 recesses on the surface of 1. After roughening the inside of the curved portion 3, a thin layer of resin is filled in the recess 3 to form a base layer 4, and acrylic, urethane resin or UV resin is applied on the base layer 4. to form a surface layer 5, form a two-layer resin layer 9 with the surface layer 5 and the base layer 4, tighten, vacuum defoaming at a temperature of approximately 40° C. or less, and dry. Thereafter, the resin layer 6 was polymerized and hardened at a temperature of about 50°C to 120°C, and then the surfaces of the resin layer 6 and the metal part 2 were polished to make them flush, so that various types of eyeglass frames J and silks were made. Any literature or picture is integrally embedded in the resin layer 6 on the surface of the metal part 2 of the workpiece 1 to create a combination of the gloss of the metal part 2 and the bright color of the resin layer 6. It is possible to express a decorative effect that is rich in fashion than ever before through harmony, and the resin layer 6 is a base made of a material that has good adhesiveness to the metal part 2.
