Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable temperature sensor by a method wherein a temperature detecting section is provided in conductors at the tip of a resin outer cylinder housing a plurality of conductors and housed in a die, into which a melt resin runs to solidify and seal up the temperature detecting section. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of conductors 3 such as thermocouple wire covered with a resin cover 2 are housed in a resin outer cylinder 1 made of a synthetic resin and the conductors 2 sticking out from the tip of the resin outer cylinder 1 are strengthened by twisting and then, the tip is welded to form a thermal contact 4 as temperature detecting section. The thermal contact 4 and the tip of the resin outer cylinder 1 are housed in a space of a die 5, into which a melt resin 6 the same in the material as the resin outer cylinder 1 runs from a hole 5a to solidify them and the work is enclosed by an injection molding. When withdrawn from the die 5 after cooled, the tip of the resin outer cylinder 1 is sealed up and enclosed completely by a resin 6.
