Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a flare and the inferiority of crack and bend etc. in a glass tube by allowing cooling air to blow out from a gauge rod to lower the temperature of the flare in an electrode portion. CONSTITUTION:A bulb in which a glass tube 1 and an electrode portion 2 are sealed is loaded at the location of a gauge rod 3 which is heated by a preheating furnace and an electric furnace in an exhausting device for tube bending. At this time, the cooling air blowing out from a cooling nozzle 4 passes through a hole at the tip of the gauge rod 3 to cool the electrode portion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Application of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an annular fluorescent lamp, and more particularly to a cooling method suitable for preventing deformation of flare of an electrode portion during tube bending.

(Background of the Invention) Conventionally, in order to prevent flare deformation of the electrode part, the temperature of the electrode part was lowered by lowering the amount of heat of the burner of the preheating furnace (or the heater of the electric furnace) in the part corresponding to the electrode part. This also lowers the temperature of the glass tube, causing problems such as cracking or bending at this portion during winding, making temperature adjustment difficult.

In order to prevent flare deformation of the electrode portion, the temperature of this portion must be lowered to below the melting point. As a cooling method, a hole is made at the tip of a gauge rod that regulates the position of the valve during winding, and cooling air is introduced through this hole to cool the material.

〔発明の実施例〕[Embodiments of the invention]

以下1本発明の実施例を第1図により説明する。 An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIG.

The bulb with the glass tube 1 and the electrode part 2 sealed is loaded into the position of the gauge rod 3 heated in the preheating furnace and electric furnace of the tube bending exhaust machine. At this time, the cooling air coming out of the cooling nozzle 4 passes through the hole at the tip of the gear rod and cools the electrode section.

According to the present invention, only the electrode portion is cooled and deformation of the flare can be prevented, and since the temperature of the glass tube near the electrode portion does not drop, defects such as cracks and bending of the glass tube can be prevented.
