Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a trouble to close a door and to improve operability, by a method wherein, when opening of the door of a duplicator body is detected, elevating driving of an elevator tray is prohibited, and meanwhile, lowering driving is rendered effective. CONSTITUTION:In a device wherein static trays 2 and 3 and an elevator tray 4 are vertically disposed to the interior of a duplicator body, when the elevator tray 4 is selected through control of a console 8, the tray 4 is raised through driving of an electromagnetic clutch 10 and a motor 11, and the tray 4 is brought to a stop at a point of time when a level detecting switch 12 is brought to an OFF-state. Thereafter, driving of a paper feed roll 7 causes feed of an uppermost paper on the tray 4 to perform duplication. In this case, when an output is produced from a paper absence detecting sensor 18, the tray 4 is lowered despite of motion of a door opening sensor 14 for detecting opening of a door for checking the interior, and is moved to a specified position to supply the papers.
