Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the forgery and illicit use of the titled magnetic card by forming locally a substance for shielding the infrared light on a substrate, and allowing the part on which the substance for shielding the infrared light is formed and the part (window) on which said substance is not formed to show the same characteristic to the visible light. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic film 2 consisting of Fe2O4 is formed on a substrate 1 having high transmissivity to the infrared light. A window 2a is perforated at a part of the magnetic film 2. んど遮蔽してしまう性質を有している。更にこの磁性膜
2上にはマスキング3が形成されている。このマスキン
グの材料は赤外光に対しては透明であり且つ可視光に対
しては遮蔽を行うもの(例えば紙等)により形成されて
いる。この為、前記磁性膜2に設けた窓は視認できぬ様
になっている。又マスキング3は全体に施しているので
はなくマスキングしない部分を帯状に設けている。この
帯状の部分では磁性膜が露出しておシ、この部分にカー
ドリーダ等の磁気ヘッド(図示せず)により情報の読み
