Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain fitting structure of a lead not giving adverse effect on the attitude and the tracking performance of a magnetic head by wiring the lead from the magnetic head incorporatedly with a gimbal. CONSTITUTION:The leads 8, 9 of a read/write coil 1a and an erasure coil 1b of the magnetic head 1 are formed incorporatedly with the gimbal 2 to a lead terminal 10 through cross-linked parts 2a, 2b of the gimbal 2. The leads 8, 9 are led out to the lead terminal 10 without giving any effect on the attitude and motion performance of the magnetic head 1 by forming incorporatedly the leads 8, 9 to the gimbal 2 in this way. Since no external force is exerted to the gimbal 2 by omitting a flexible print cable, the attitude of the magnetic head is made stable and the read performance is improved.
