Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent possible staining due to loading of ink or any contact following the printing by irradiating ultraviolet rays immediately after the inkjetting employing an ultraviolet ray hardening type ink for an inkjet printer. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet ray hardening type ink is used for the ink to be jetted from an inkjet head. This ink is preferably composed of a photopolymerizing prepolymer (e.g. polyester acrylate), a polymerizing monomer (1,6-hexanedioldiacrylate), a reactive diluting agent for adjusting viscosity (2-ethylhexyl acrylate), an adjunct for initiating reaction (e.g. benzophenone), an intensifier (e.g. aliphatic amine), a stabilizing agent (e.g. quaternary ammonium chloride), a coloring agent and the like. The irradiation of ultraviolet rays is preferbly done with a lamp 10 covering the entire width of recording paper or a lamp 9 beside the head 5 for a serial printer.

滴として記録紙に向けて噴射される。−非印字時には、
インク室内の静圧力とノズルまたはオリフィスにおける
インクの表面張力とによりインクが平衡状襲を保つ。し
たがって、非印字時にノズルまたはオリフ゛イスにおい
てインク5が外気と直接にさらされるこ、とになシ、非
印字状伸が永く継続するとノ゛ズルまたはオリフィスで
インク艇固まり、□目づまりを起こし易かった。とのた
めに実用化さ□れている多くのインクジェットプリンタ
は、目づまり防上のために種々の方策が施こされており
、これが製造コストの上昇を招来していた。また、公知
のインクジェットプリンタでは印字後に直ぐに紙面に触
れるとインクをひきずり紙面が汚れてしまうし、目づま
りを防止することを重視してインクの特性を決定すると
、上記傾向が一層増長される。
