Abstract

PURPOSE:To check matching with hardware by storing pieces of version numbers of respective devices which constitute an electronic computer system, and collating them with the version number information of a program when the system is powered on or set. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit CPU, main storage part MEM, channel device CH, input/output devices IO such as a magnetic disk device and a line printer, console COS, etc., have a device version number storage part M, and programs residing in the electronic computer system are stored in the input/ output devices for a magnetic disk and a magnetic tape and corresponding pieces of version number information is given to each program. るのに長時間を要している。
